So it's closer to Halloween(WOOT!!) than my previous blog and for some reason I like making these lists (also its just much easier too lol) so I am going to make a list of characters/enemies that scared me once again some of these games might be awful or epic or not even scary..so lets start this (and yes the pictures are clickable and will let you see a better perspective/info of them)

Head crab zombies (half-life series)

Now these aren't that scary when you see them or fight them but the whole concept of them is a completely other story see those "crabs" on those people's heads ya well they control you while you are still alive yes you awaken in their mouths (or orifices idk) and can still feel everything your body is mutated and you feel it and those screams you hear when you kill them or set them on fire aren't the head crabs..no that's the human screaming inside their moist jail just a creepy concept being stuck inside your own body in a way and even if you get the head crab off you will still die due to the condition of your body and there are 3-4 forms 1.) is the standard 2.) skeletal frame(just your muscles and bones are left) 3.) poison zombie hive (the worst one IMO)meaning your body will act as a host to a decent number of "crabs" just latching on to you with them digging deeper into your skin every time I kill one I don't know to feel sorry for them or feel I did them a favor

The tank (left 4 dead)

Ahh yes the genric looking zombie hulk character now why is this beast scary? have you ever played Left 4 Dead on the most hardest setting and as you and your teammates are limping over to the safe house you hear the music and then you hear the tank scream you turn around to only see a boulder hit your face and you go down and your team scatters one tries to make it to the door only to be pelted by the tank then the other two go down and you have to restart the whole level again cursing everything and one out

Crimson Head Zombies

Probably the coolest thing to ever come out of the Resident evil 1 remake is the crimson head zombie these zombies are the ones you didn't fully kill meaning that you didn't burn them or get a lucky head shot what they do is after the zombies die they stay in the location and position you left them in and they slowly mutate into zombies with claws and run at you I remember walking down a hallway passing a zombie body I have always passed before thinking nothing of it only for it to get up quickly do a very scary moan and run towards me with amazing agility and ripped me to shreds..that moan still haunts my dreams and if you didn't burn any bodies you were in for a rough time in that mansion

Alma (F.E.A.R. series)

Yes I have to mention Alma I remember F.E.A.R. very well the game was a weird one due to the fact that is was broken up into segments meaning first was the running and gunning segments then the creepy scary segments and that's where Alma made her appearance now she might not look scary but she would randomly pop in and out of your screen or make images in your head and I remember in one scene taking a elevator only for her to stop it and spawn closer and closer to me and the end of F.E.A.R. was very creepy (no spoilers but it did involve her chasing you)

Nemesis (Resident evil 3)

Yes this was probably one of my favorite Resident evil bad guys what he was, was a big (8-9ft) monster specifically made to track and kill S.T.A.R.S. members unluckily for you that was what you were and the monster had a nasty habit of showing up when you really didn't want him to…which was about 90% of the time but I will say about 75% of the time when he showed up it was scripted there was one moment that I will never forget because it made me soil myself many times was I was walking down a street that I always walk down next thing I know I hear a gruff but soft "stars!" so I taunted the monster and ran out the door (thinking he was behind me) but to my surprise he was actually in the door I just opened and basically I got destroyed in the matter of seconds..well played nemesis now please get out of my nightmares

Pyramid head (Silent Hill series)

It's kind of hard to make a list of scary characters without mentioning him see I never really found him that scary until I played Silent hill 2 and then I was like whoa..he's creepy just the way he acts in the game and how he stalks you is pretty creepy I mean you have to admire the fact that he has a triangle for a face and a normal human body and he can still generate fear into your heart now that's a talent

Valtiel (Silent Hill 3)

I really think this guy is not mentioned enough when people play Silent Hill 3( I bet almost no one knew his name) he is the one turning the valves and always in the background he is almost stalking Heather (the player) you see him at various points in the game always in the background turning his valves making that rusty turning noise and he truly is creepy I remember a couple of times he just freaked me out one is in the background of the "other world" hanging or playing with a zombie nurse and another moment (and where I lost it and almost shut my PS2 off) was you were in a hallway in the "other world" and there was a wall with only slots on the bottom and he crawls on the floor back and forth and you only see bits and pieces of him but it was more than enough for me..also don't believe me? check this video out right here it literally scared me all over again its only 20 seconds..

Space Pirates (metroid prime series)

Ok I'm going to be honest here and say it these guys are not scary at all what is scary about them is how they are still around and change all the dam time..yes I will explain see Samus is only one person yet she can just totally destroy their whole infrastructure in a mere 8-10 hours and their science experiments are just horrible I mean really let's take a dangerous creature and put a dangerous substance inside them and watch and why are they always different in every metroid prime game they always look completely different but still have the same catchy creepy music….how are these pirates still around!! I mean if one bounty hunter can kill them in the matter of hours imagine a whole army?

The Regenerator (deadspace)

Actually I don't know if that is its name but I don't care its creepy as hell basically this thing stalks you about most of the game either its makes a cameo or physically chases you and it's just a horrid looking invincible monster it can't be killed no matter how many time you shoot its arms or legs or face off it grows back and even towards the middle of the game you freeze it and it gets sent to another section of the ship it comes back and the final fight with the monster is a pretty intense fight with it somehow always sneaking up behind you and you panicking

The Regenerators (Resident Evil 4)

Yes I just realized these creatures have the same name as the dead space creature these things scared the hell out of me the way they moved, sounded, reacted to how you shot them was just scary I remember seeing one for the first time thinking nothing of it only saying to myself "boy he's creepy let's kill it yeehaw" *broken cowboy accent* and throwing endless rounds into it and only for it to regenerate all his body parts back so I did what any sane person would do…run as far away as possible only to be stalked by more of them…then the music changed up and you were stuck in dark corners and a abandoned jail and you can hear them you knew they were close..god those were dark times..
