I enjoyed Wil Wheaton's work in "Star Trek: The Next Generation." I was always impressed how easily he handled all the technical jargon in his dialogue. I never could understand all the hostility he got from Trekkies who objected to seeing a teen character on the show. I thought he was a great addition.

I was much less happy, however, with the work he did in films. He was fine, but so often he got stuck with the most corny lines to say. To this day, it amazes why such an intelligent guy (maybe too intelligent?) would put up with such substandard writing. I've visited his web log, and the quality of writing there is like day & night compared to some of the groaners he was stuck with by Hollywood film writers.

He is not as active in acting these days, but from what I hear, he is doing well.

Stevie Brock is a really good singer. I was very impressed by the quality of his voice when I listened to his debut album. I happened to find an audio file somewhere on the internet and it sounded like someone just stuck a microphone in front of him, and he started singing. Even \"unplugged\" the voice quality was there.

I finally got to see him in concert in Monterey, CA at the Monterey Fair (Aug 17, 2004). Unfortunately, the turnout was very low even though the Fair made a good effort plugging the show. I heard it was Radio Disney\'s first project in the Monterey area.

Stevie\'s program only had about six songs that I can remember. We also got to see him rehearse a song during their sound check. But apparently he was expected to fill the time space by talking with the audience and letting his backup dancers to a number of their own.

Despite the low turnout and small program, the fans left happy. One advantage of a small crowd is you can walk right up to the stage without anyone stopping you - and we did just that. It was really exciting to see him up close. Stevie plays football and other sports, and his athletic look really adds to his stage presence (he performed bare-armed even though the evening ws chilly). He also does a good job with choreography.

Oh, yes, and his singing was great. With Stevie\'s voice, you really don\'t need a lot of fancy lights or colorful costumes. If he just spent a whole hour doing nothing but sitting on a stool and singing, the audience would still love him.

Jeremy Sumpter did a great job in the Lifetime TV film Cyber Seduction. He is already an expert swimmer (he surfs a lot) so he was a natural to play a swimming champion. I heard Sumpter is home-schooled; it would be interesting to see how he would...

Jeremy Sumpter did a great job in the Lifetime TV film Cyber Seduction. He is already an expert swimmer (he surfs a lot) so he was a natural to play a swimming champion. I heard Sumpter is home-schooled; it would be interesting to see how he would do in a real-life high swim team.

Some people thought Cyber Seduction was too heavy-handed with the way it treated online porn. I didn't see that. The strange thing I noticed was that most of the porn he was addicted to featured a girl he actually went to school with and knew personally.

I hope Cyber Seduction gets released on DVD. I would definitely want to get it.
