Both the book and the movie were awful.
Anyway the book had few good passages so the movie had few good scenes.

Anyway the book had few good passages so the movie had few good scenes.
What I did not understand was how could he,the main character she was in love with could have just let her stay there alone, and leave her. There was a scene in the movie where she says : Forgive me, I never received a present before. Well, in that moment if he would have loved her then he would have taken her with him, but he didn't.How could he let her there when he knew what kind of life he was going through?And he never thought to offer her anything,like a life near him or something,he was just laughing like an idiot, thinking he was superior,but she saved his ass later. Not that he deserved it after the way he treated her. The actress Zizi, has a fling for these kind of boys,cause this is how he behaved like a scared boy not like a man who knows what he wants. In that another movie the Legend or The Hero or something she is the servant in the house for A master and a mistress, and again she is in bed with the master and when they get caught by the mistress, he is leaving her alone and go argue with his wife. Some lover,
right? The movie has good costumes ,but the plot is missing true romance.
