Hi Welcome everyone to Pakhair's Blog, Today is one very special blog, I upgraded my 3D card and Power Supply. I bought a new 3D card Nvidia Xfx GTX 260 Black Edition for approx. 290$ and Cooler Mastewr 600 W power supply (RS-600-PCAR-E3) for approx. 85$. So the total is appox. 375$. Yep I wasted some money.

Here's my beautiful NEW 3D Card and 600W power supply for the record, I upgraded from Nvidia Geforce 9600GT 512 MB, Which was starting to show it's age........

Those are some amazing graphics and you can tell that card is just the bestest! I remember when I got my new GeForce card (which is so old now) but still performs well. Enjoy it to the fullest... being the games look so real now!

Ooh, those are some nice upgrades And Crysis looks incredible. I don't know anything about it and I don't think it's exactly my type of game, but that's one of the nicest looking games I have ever seen
Posted Nov 8, 2009 10:11 am PT
Wooo shiny graphics lol Glad to hear you've gotten an upgrade, I don't think any of those games would run on my computer at all
Posted Nov 8, 2009 10:18 am PT
NICE... I'm so jealous of your PC ;( screenshots are looking amazing.
Posted Nov 8, 2009 10:29 am PT
The snow scene looks absolutely phenomenal. nVIDIA has some nice cards also. The issue though that I have for either nVIDIA or Radeon cards is that they have poor developer support. I've never tried GeForce though, so I'll certainly have to check that out.

I read your reply and I'm glad you responded, that was nice, I have a new blog as well. I see you brought a new video card, from what I read , it's very good and can run most games at higher settings, it's way better than your previous card. Showing us pics of you unwrapping it proves how cool it looks as I love doing that too, LOL, and that power supply should last a while. As for the pics, I like the quality as I can make them out and seeing those great games on great settings, but it would be even cooler if you took screenshots of them directly from the game to see what they really look like while you play them. I say use at least FRAPS for that. I did it for Crysis and people were amazed by those screenshots. Telling us what settings those games are on would be nice, if you want to do that. Overall, this is a good blog.

@sina69

Yep that's pretty easy, Put in the disk and have fun, I also like my X360 controller ...
Posted Nov 10, 2009 1:10 pm PT
@Private_Adam

The resolution was 1680*1050 (Highest Possible of my Monitor) with everything else on MAX. Actually I don't like Crysis, Brother plays it So not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure that everything will be MAX cause I checked everything on MAX that day.........

Posted Nov 10, 2009 1:15 pm PT
@nicktarist

Well developer support is not with the cars, It's with the platform Windows. And personally I like NVIDIA over ATI.....
Posted Nov 10, 2009 1:16 pm PT
@Darkneobahamut

1680x1050... Highest possible on my LCD .......
Posted Nov 10, 2009 1:17 pm PT
@NukkU

Yep PC eats money, If you upgrade it every year and Don't use the best technology out there, Use the second or third best, It doesn't costs that much 300 $ max per year, So it's OK........
Posted Nov 10, 2009 1:25 pm PT
@david_lck

Yep I said you I got a new 3D card, The bad thing is my processor ain't the best. So in highly rendering areas, Sometimes framerate issues is a problem but otherwise I'm having fun ........
Posted Nov 10, 2009 1:26 pm PT
@archenemy4

One way will be to use TV card and attach PS3 to your PC and record or snap, Other will be device known as Playtv and the last method will be buying a nano 3D card and attach PS3 to your PC.......

The easiest method and cheapest is to buy a TV card, A great TV card would cost 60$ MAXIMUM, It can also be cheap and you'll need a good hard drive in your PC, Snap and record and Have Fun ........

@payne6705

Yep I'm a Lucky one , I'm lucky that my Bro is doing BCS and he has a great system, I only need a 3D card and voila, Ultimate Gaming Machine , He upgrades PC every year, So I'm good .......

Oh back to old avatar, Yeah This is It was a great movie, I had to use inappropriate terms to watch it cause it ain't released here and The DVD release is far far away. Still I loved the show and I'll grab the DVD, So one counts towards the final media related towards MJ.........

Posted Nov 10, 2009 3:39 pm PT
I have a EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX Super Overclocked PCI interface with 512 Meg of Memory. It is still an awesome card... but I cannot play alot of the newer games that are out now... but still enjoy the older ones!
Posted Nov 10, 2009 6:48 pm PT
HOLY BALLS, THOSE LOOK MARVELOUS!

Have fun I need to upgrade mine sometime soon
Posted Nov 10, 2009 10:17 pm PT
I got the same card came with far cry 2 as well.
The size (physical volume) of the cars is ridiculous though, had to unplug, remove re-arrange my HD's, PCI cards just to fit in it.

@aquablade123

Hey hope you had fun with the show, Man what awesome show it was, Truly what awesome show it was, Have you seen it??? (This is It)

I'm not a fan of war games, Simply I'm not a fan of War based FPS, That's why No Modern Warfare, No Crysis, No COD, MOH.....

That game was someone else, I just checked the graphic quality of my 3D card .......
Posted Nov 12, 2009 10:22 am PT
@Sandpiper121PP

I think your card is good enough for gaming, You can play all of the new games, Not on max but on Medium at least.......
