Another Mets rant here. After the horrible June that the Mets have endured, it seems as though they are finally pulling out of their slump. This past weekend they swept the A's and last night continued on their comeback with a spectacular 11th inning walk-off win against the Cardinals. 4 in a row with the top of the pitching rotation getting strong starts. The really good thing is that during this horrendous month, no one team was able to catch NY in the standings and the Mets still have control over first place. The Atlanta Braves were equally as miserable, but the Phildelphia Phillies made up lots of ground and are now 3 games behind NY, good for second in the division. After the next three games against the Cardinals at home, the Mets travel to Philly for a three game division showdown.
In the meantime, come see me at Further Instructions
