For the first time in as long as I can remember Channel 10 (in Australia) played two new Simpsons episodes in a week. This networks has gone weeks on end only showing repeats.

So why this week, well tonight the new episode had the same timeslot as the first episode of My Name Is Earl - A show I have really been looking forward to.

So I had to choose, I picked the Simpsons and "Bart has two Mommies" was a great episode.

I flicked to My Name is Earl during the commercial breaks and I can see myself getting addicted to it, much like I have done with The Simpsons, Scrubs, Arrested Development and The Office (UK)

My Name is Earl rocks!

I downloaded the whole season, but I'm still watching it on TV.

I know, the Simpsons hasn't had good timeslots for the past few years - well, they've been good but they are used rarely and to have one at the same time as a pilot for a new show on a different channel - that's crazy! Plus, they are yet to show the second episode of season seventeen. Yes I know that they aired it months before the first episode but I just recently found out that it was a "sneak peek" at the "2006 season" even though it had aired months before in the US - but the point is if it was a sneak peek the episode should stilll be shown in the season run since the season hadn't started yet.

Nice work on the triple post

I'm pretty certain they skipped another episode "The Seemingly Never-Ending Story"

Since there is no coninuous plot in the show it doesn't matter what order they are in.

I'm still fuming about the timeslot clash though!

Yeah, they skipped it but hopefully they'll show it Tuesday (if Big Brother doesn't run overtime again)

yeah, "The Seemingly Never-Ending Story" is on next week. channel 10 probably just picked a random episode out of order to show last night.

But, finally, someone has a blog title like mine are!!!! Mine are usually along the lines of "Channel 10 does it again (badly)" or stuff like that.

Bad luck on missing Earl though, i was at work last night but luckily we have 2 VCRs so I can watch The Simpsons today.

yeah they paid heaps for them. 7 is going to have trouble juggling the V8s and AFL

i suppose ten will do what nine did and play the football the day when channel seven has V8's on.

nine won't have the AFL though, 7, and 10 made a joint bid.

Nine will still have the Rugby League.
