Okay, So I'm a Halo fan...not hardcore...I enjoy and respect it for what it did. Read a book or two...blah blah....Well I'm in a bit of a financial bind(I'm in my 3rd year of college and I have no job) so I choose the games I buy carefully...for example..I have ALL 3 consoles and since Jan 1, 2009, I have purchased 3 games( Chronicles Of Riddick, Batman-Arkham Asylum, and Uncharted 2. I will buy MW2) Now I Do have Gamefly and i used it often. We'll ODST arrived about 2 weeks ago in the mail.... I pop it open, and put it in the 360. It loads, watch the cutscene...right after the drop.....mid drop actually...it says disc is unreadable...okay so I then install it to my HDD...Try to play it again...FAIL... I send it back after telling them it didnt work..... And I received another 4 days ago....Tried it last night....Same exact problem...and So I borrowed a friends.....same problem...I even uninstalled and reinstalled it.. No dice... Everything else works like a charm!!! So my 360 hates ODST and will not play it
So It has been roughly about 5 months or so since I've updated this thing. I have plenty of reasons and excuses as to why.
1.Gamespot became very very stagnant for awhile and I just didn visit the site that much as I now get all my gaming news from another site.
2.School. After my last blog post,I became very bogged down with school, homework and such. I finished up my finals on like May 13 or something and started my summer classes not even a week later ...and I've been in summer classes ALL summer long. I finish this Thurs and start again on August 15...so to say I havent had a summer is an understatement
3.I haven't played any games for several reasons:1-the above mentioned,school.2-No $$$.3-When I final had time,I just didnt have the desire to play anything honestly.
4.Regarding #3-I have playes some games. I manged to 1000 Dead Space, a little Fallout 3,a little CoR,Motorstorm-Pacific Rift. However, I have played the 'hot hits of the summer' like Red Faction,Ghostbusters,Fight Night Round 4,etc. I have been wanting to play inFamous and Prototype, but I just havent had the chance. I had the chance to play inFamous at one time, but instead I decided to play the Uncharted 2 beta. I have played a few games here and there, just not as much as I'd hoped/liked
5.With what little free time I've had,I have spent time with friends here back home and read some comicbooks, saw some movies, etc.
6.Now I have had some free time this weekend and I played one of my highly anticipated titles, the Batman Arkham Asylum Demo for both PS3 and 360! This is the second demo I've played,as I played the challenge room demo at a kiosk at Wal-Mart. I'm pretty sure I've played the single player demo about......10 times in 3 days.I love it and Can't Wait!!
Holla! Lets play some XBL guys!!!
The upcoming release of Eidos and Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Asylum getting the collector's edition treatment. The bad news? It's a cool $100, forty dollars more than the standard edition. The good news? Batarangs!!
According to solicitations from retailer GameStop, by way of a Kotaku tipster, the pricey collectors edition comes equipped with a 12" Batarang, utility belt not included. But that's not all, obviously.
- 12" Batarang
- DC Custom Encyclopedia
- DLC Pack 1
- Bonus DVD with Behind the Scenes feature
- Soundtrack
GameStop's web site currently notes that "Final contents of collector's edition are to be determined." So we'd advise holding onto your hard-earned $99.99 until the retailer re-lists the goods.
