What a terrible film. Let me start off by saying that I loved the first film. I had everything you could want in an adventure movie and more. It also promised more sequels to come, which would get anyone excited. After a lukewarm Dead Man's Chest, the pirates crew comes out with this pile of garbage. It defines what it means to be a summer blockbuster. Some of the best special effects ever made, with endless amounts of explosions and gun play. They must have forgot that they also had a movie to make. The story and plot of AWE is so confussing, stupid and unbelieveble, that at one point during the moive, I said to the buddy beside me, "Do you have any idea what is going on?" He also answered with the same amount of confussion as I did asking the question. The middle of AWE is increadibly boring. Just as boring; writing this review.
