So... yeah, like i figured, this game blows. I'm boring it from my friend while I'm letting him borrow Rock Band 2, and just wow. It's just not interesting. First of all, $60 for THAT!?! definitely not worth it. maybe $35 for it. My main problem is that it feels unfinished. It looks great and all, but something's missing. It doesn't feel like a Halo game, it doesn't feel like any game.
It's appealing at first, and then just drops off. I've only played 2 1/2 of the first levels, and played the last level to help my friends on legendary.
Firefight, why are people going nuts over it? It's just a knockoff of Horde from Gears of War 2 with too big of maps so your constantly running around looking for the last grunt, jackal etc.
The game is just so uninspiring, and i can honestly say after Halo 2, the games started to suck. Halo 3's campaign sucked. The multiplayer saved it, and that's how I look at ODST. The Halo 3 multiplayer is supposed to make up for the terrible campaign by having all the map packs on there along with 3 new ones.
After I beat the campaign, I'll probably just screw around online and get some achievements for the map pack achievements for Halo 3, since that's the only thing I find this game good for.
The campaign doesn't even make any sense, and can't even fit in the story. They have all of this shlt from Halo 3 in a game that goes in between Halo 2 and Halo 3. Well Halo 3 picks up minutes after Halo 2 ends, so wtf. Don't say it happens between when it really happens at the same time, and have HALO 3 on the cover so you can sell the game. Call the game Halo ODST and on the back say that it is about another story that's being told while the story in Halo 3 is happening. It's just mind bogglingly stupid.

But I did manage to borrow this off of a friend and get to try it myself and I have to say it isn't as good as people say it is, and it isn't as bad as people say it is. It is quite a nice game and good to see a change for once, I also liked how the game was structured and you eventually find enough clues or 'flashbacks' as you will to figure out what is going on. I will say though, this shouldn't have been a separate game because it isn't. It is an expansion for Halo 3.
