Still in the middle of getting those pesky bugs cleared out of the way. The Reject button should work on all submissions now, so editors can start moderating their sub queues in earnest.

The PM bug (PMs not getting to their intended recipients; PM shows wrong # of unread messages, etc.) is still being worked on as we speak. As I've mentioned before, I've personally be affected pretty severely by this one, so if you've sent me a PM, please be patient.

Editors and submitters please note: The process for MIA retirements has been suspended for this week because of the aforementioned problems in the submission queues and the user PMs.

Also, please not that as of the new redesign, the < B > and < I > tags no longer work for formatting things into bold and italic text. Please use < STRONG > for < B > and < EM > for < I >, without the spaces, of course.
Please see this blog for info on what you should do if you received some PM spam from a user advertising a friends finding website.
In addition to the redesign, TV.com is also launching a show of our very own. The Dial offers episode recaps and interviews with celebs. Brand-new to the site, be sure to check it out.

I vote to bring back the HTML tags.

@Mad_Buck: There is no vote to change them. We're stuck with them whether we like it or not.

Please... No more no features until you have cleared the bugs and tidied some of the design/layout/link disasters from the last couple of upgrades!

Sometimes when I try to reject subs I get transferred to some weird site. Also, will all submissions made in the old layout with the b and i tags have to be changed?

Thanks! What about the too bright colors and hard to read gray fonts. Will these be adjusted?

What about allowing all your non-US viewers access to the US site again. This is why the VAST majority of us come to tv.com and by forcing us to view some useless localised Australian or UK homepage you have alienated a huge number of people. Simply give us a direct way of viewing the US site as all the other CNET Network sites do (Gamespot, etc). So far we have heard little to reassure us that this is being taken seriously and talk of fixing PM bugs isn't helping. As a side point, some of the other CNET Sites allow you to choose from a selection of Themes. In the case of Gamespot you can choose between a dark and a light theme, this I think would resolve have the complaints your having about the design. In this modern era of Web development (in fact any site built in the past few years), this should be as simple as switching the active CSS file and stashing it in a cookie. Hardly rocket science.

Since you've let us know that PM messages are problems for you right now and since I really do want to know what is going on with a design issue, I guess the best idea is to maybe leave my comment here.

While I am not a web designer, several users here are and the consensus is that to change the blinding white background and increase the default size of text is not a difficult thing to roll out at all.

I am sure we all can understand why bugs take first priority, the simple fact is that there is intense (and growing) user dissatisfaction over this one design "aesthetic" and the fix is not major design surgery.

It begs the obvious question - Since it is clear an OVERWHELMING majority of us want this change AND since rolling it out is not a major pain for the tech team, why continue to drag your heels on "pulling the trigger?"

In one move you would completely please so many of us that you would have our sincere thanks and increased patience, having shown that beyond "hearing and listening" to us, you are actually doing something about the issues that are truly upsetting us.

Is it possible to get a firm answer to this one clear question about this issue?

Thank you.

I am happy to update from my previous comment and say:

hank you to CBS, but most importantly to you and all the staff here, we finally got some concrete answers and commitments which I have posted on my latest blog. I am so excited to be able to get back to simply just enjoying using the site as the bugs and design issues get fixed.

Thank you nilla_chelle01!
