GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

With Valentine's Day at the end of this week and all the sweets and treats in stores, I know it is time for a new blog. This blog is about love, not just the BIG love, but all kinds including the loosest definitions of love. I hope you didn't expect any profound definitions or proclamations.

I love getting so into a game that I can be caught by surprise by the game. Movies are the same way, but alas I have seen so many that it seems that many movies are just a revamp of an old one. I have been playing Final Fantasy 12 for about 6 weeks or so and the surprise for me is how good a game it is really. I played the demo and didn't think I would enjoy the game, but now that I have been playing the game it is a fun game. Granted there are things that I would like to change but I love a game that can surprise me and give me enough fun that I keep playing.

I love signing in to Gamespot and visiting a board at the same time as one or more of my GS friends. It just seems to be even better when you post and while in another topic someone has posted a response in the first topic.

I love finding a topic with a new post that just makes me say, "YES" that is the same thing that happened to me. I also enjoy finding a new message that says someone is tracking me or that one of my friends has posted a new blog. That is what made me think that I really should post a new blog.

Yes, I completed my Valentine's shopping a few weeks ago and I am ready for a change. No last minute ordering of flowers or balloons or stop at the drug store for a box of sweets for me this year. What are you doing for Valentine's Day?

Ok, so it isn't profound or that entertaining, but if you comment and mention some of the things you love then I know the value will increase.

Also I've been playing Final Fantasy 12 also and to be honest I actually like it a lot this time around I'm definitely going to have to rewrite my review.

My fiance is a world away right now purchasing us a home in Scotland. So we'll be away from one another this Valentines day.

So you're just now getting around to playing FFXII huh? It started out rough for me but after I got the hang of the gambit system I loved it.

I'm glad to see you hooked on blogging now a days.

nothing whatsoever, it's not that I'M unloveable, in fact i'm like a puppy at christmas, no it's the fact that i'm a tight bastard when it comes to money

nah i'm kidding, i just don't have gf atm

Well my gf just left me but it's no big deal, hope you have a good time on Valentines Day.

I liked Final Fantasy XII quite a bit.
I love watching a movie that I know so well that I can quote it whenever it's on. I love seeing my girlfriend after being away from her for a month.
I love looking through old EGM magazines and finding cover stories about Final Fantasy.
I also love food.

Since I'm dumb and believe in equal opportunity when it comes to Valentines Day, it's my turn this year to make a fancy dinner waaaaah!!

gormo, quiet is fine and sometimes the best. And you're welcome, I'll keep trying.
travis, I'm glad you to are good again. Yes I'm liking ff12 too.
bigboi, too bad about your fiance, that should make for a bigger celebration when you do see each other. Yeah, I wasn't impressed with the demo so I waited until there was a special at Gamestop, 9.99 US$ new.
dan, that's ok, there isn't a scale here that requires you to have someone at the moment. Besides you have to study.
bigD, I'm sorry to hear that, but it does happen. Enjoy the day yourself and play some extra games.
mareinfinitus, ooh, I forgot to mention food. Those are all good, how many movies are like that for you?
Sophia, can I be your Valentine and get the fancy dinner, drool.

I'll be doing the whole date nite thing on saturday...Phantom of the opera at pantages and then dinner.

Gah, that reminds me to finally beat FFXII >_> Nothing much for me this V day. I love nice, cool, windy, and dry days where you can just sit out and relax.
But you don't get many of those in Texas >_>

Nate, I like the date nite thing and it is an excuse to go to a, umm, higher class place. Going to a play is nice too, I really enjoyed those when I was in college.
Elizabeth, I guess the move changed things for you a bit. I've made it to the point where I can go to the sky fortress bahamut and I think that is the last thing to do. You don't get many days like that in Florida either, but I enjoy the few we do get.

I'll probably get FF12 no matter what since I'm that sorta RPG nut. And besides Star Ocean this Feb, I can't think of any other RPG that are coming out to tide my craving. lol. Valentines Day will be spend all day long on the phone with my Fiancée since she's visiting her mom a million states away! So I'm more then likely going to sing to her or something lol. Won't that be fun? I love herssss! And I like coming to gamespot just as much as you do it seems. And I agree, always going back and forth between topics that just keep going on and have responses are just plain fun. But yeah, take care now. I shall stop writing so much.

Robert, I'm looking forward to the Dragon Quest remakes, the Suikoden release, the Fire Emblem (may already be out), and others I probably forgot about. She picked a fine time to go see her mom, oh well, a song is good too.

I can quote about half the words from probably about 5 movies. Maybe more. And I can quote every word to Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Before anything else, I've seen you a couple times commenting on blogs that I track, so I decided to track you ^^

Well, I love being with people I love and I also love the simple things of live, like defeating that boss that takes a lot of minutes and all your items. lol

Tyler, that is a lot of knowledge and that is good one to remember ... One, two, five!
Lucas, I'm glad to meet you. I just had one of those battles in FF12 today with the Hell Wyrm. Well, I used a lot of gold needles and phoenix downs in thant 2 hour battle.

I was really concerned AZ, you take care of yourself and get well. I'll try not to worry, but update us when you can.

My Valentines day was just with...me
I think it is a stupid holiday, but that is just me
Posted Feb 14, 2009 1:53 pm PT
I must admit that I felt the same, but I found that it was another chance to make someone feel better. It usually doesn't take a lot to make their day, although there are exceptions. Only 'special someones' will remember if you don't do anything for Valentine's day, but others will remember if you gave them a card or candy. I usually have a little something for the ladies at my favorite restaurant for example.

I'm mostly alone on v-day. Best thing I did is say happy b-day to my mom. For her marriage, the b-day was very horrible.
Posted Feb 15, 2009 1:55 pm PT
GameSpot must be very good for you. It's been good for me over the time I've been on it.
Posted Feb 16, 2009 12:06 am PT
Michael, I'm glad you got to wish her a happy b-day and I hope you got to spend a few minutes with her at least.
Richard, Well I will say that I didn't intend to spend so much time here, but now that I am spending the time it is fun. I guess you can get a little or a lot from Gamespot.
