Dear GS Cronies, July 1st, 2009.

I might be offline for a few weeks. So if I don't post/respond to posts don't take it personal. My service may be off for a stretch. I'll still be able to check email, via the library, but not very often. Nonetheless, when all's said and done, I'll fill y'all in on what went down.

On another note: Our troops are leaving Iraq!!!!! The only troops remaining will be advisors to Iraq's new military. About damn time, huh? Here in Korea it's the same old bull ****. I've gotten an Article 15 and I have 2 more pending. I may wind up getting discharged. I'm actually cool with it. Army life sux. Y'all have known of my disappointment for a while now. Hell, next time I put up a post, it might be as a civilian. It's that serious.

Well, I gotta bounce.

Take Care & Much love

Dear GS Cronies, June 9th, 2009.

Well, the DSiWare Shop is finally getting some real goodies. Dr Mario is pretty good. But Mario vs Donkey Kong flat out rocks. I also downloaded Mighty Flip Champs - awesome 16-bit style graphics (which work very well on a handheld) and...well..."flippy" gameplay. I'm lovin' it! The DSi is starting to replace my Wii as my current-gen fav console. I'll own my PS2 for a good number of years. But the DSi just does EVERYTHING I want right: awesome cheapies, cool downloadables, etc... I also bought Metroid Prime Hunters for $10 at a pawnshop off-post. Pretty good, but the controls take some getting used to - I HATE inverted controls in my FPSs. I'm still drooling at the prostect of games like 'Super Street Fighter 2', 'Gunstar Heroes' or 'Phantasy Star 4' via DSiWare. I just hope Nintendo starts porting their Virtual Console line-up to DSiWare soon. Damn, I'm feening...

GS Cronies, May 30th, 2009.

I just saw the videos of 2 KILLER fighters on the Wii. Needless to say, I'm actually feeling alot better about my investment. 'Takunoko Vs. Capcom' and 'TMNT Smash Up' both look like they rock way harder than any of the fighters on PS3 or 360. Don't get me wrong - 'Street Fighter 4' is awesome, but I already have 'Street Fighter Anniversary Collection' for PS2 for only $10. 'MK Vs. DC' is good, buthas nowhere near as good a kombat sysem as 'Deception'. To top it all off: SF4 and MKVSDC both cost $60 as opposed to $10 for SFAC and MKD. The Wiis line-up is usually $40 or less. This just adds cool points to my relationship with Nintendo and continues to sour my relationship with Sony and Micro$oft. My PS2 is still keepers; There are way too many good, cheap games for it and I still LOVE SFAC, Deception, 'Street Fighter ALPHA Anthology, and my beloved 'Time Splitters 2&FP'. But my Wii may actually end up going neck-&-neck with PS2 on value per dollar spent. Now, if Nintendo and the devs can just keep it up.....

Some people just don't have opinions. Like nate1222.
nate1222 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could nate1222 possibly have for not rating a single film?
