So, how do I start writing a review about Diane Neal as Casey Novak? Oh there are many ways. I think the first thing one has to say though, is simply...superb.

Do not get me wrong, I liked Alex Cabot as much as the next person, yet I could never relate to her. With Casey however, from the very first episode, we have seen a huanised, compassionate ADA, unafraid to show her emotions.

The ethics of Diane Neal's character can be seen inepisodes such as 'Poison' and 'Night', as well as her unwillingness to back down from the truth, as evidenced by her refusal to be indimidated by the corrupt judge.

All in all, a wonderful addition to the SVU cast, especially as time goes on and she becomes more confident in her abilities.

Congratulations should go to Diane for making this character as sympathetic and vulnerable, yet strong as I have found her to come across.
