This is my first TVTome (yes, I will forever refer to this wonderful land as TVTome, despite the name-change) blog entry. Ever. Yay me.
Let's not make a big deal of it, 'kay?
------
So I'm sure I'm not the only one who's suffering from TV withdrawal.
I mean, yeah, I know; there are reruns aplenty and even some new, spiffy shows to be introduced over these next three months. But no amount of America's Got Talent or the 1,000,001st showing of CSI on Spike can make up for the bleeding, festering, open, green and goowy ghastly wound that our most beloved shows have left in us.
Especially with these newfangled "Season Finales" (or, "Seasone Finals" as they are so called in Canada) leaving us with horrible cliffhangers.
Lost, Bones, CSI...they have all been ripped right out of my hands.
DVD's will not quell this heartache.
So to keep my mind occupied and to at least pretend that I do live in reality and not fiction, I've pretty much jam-packed my summer with boring, tedious things to do.
First on my list: Diet. Excercise. Lose weight. Learn what color the sky is.
A close second: Driver's Ed. Me need vroom vroom.
Third: Volunteer at the Veteran's Hospital. All summer. Every day...
Fourth: NOT go to summer school.
Fifth: Maybe vacation? We'll see. It isn't exactly my choice on that one.
So I've got it all planned, all mapped out, all certain to fill up my (Lost) calendar for the next three months. Hey, I may not enjoy the pleasures of insomnia, or fall into a hopeless funk, but maybe it'll still be fun.
I must confess, however, that Fanfics will never be purged from my days. Neither will the DVD's -particularly my Buffy DVD's, which have somehow begun to play themselves through the entire series without me noticing what was happening.
Oh well.
Until my (precious) shows return (for the love of God, please return) I'll preoccupy myself with real-life troubles.
And, hey; here's to almost finishing my Freshman year in High school.
