I'm still not ready to put up the random pictures, but I've been digging through some old and dusty photo albums, and I found my parents' wedding photos and scanned them in. It was kind of interesting to see how they were... uhm... 32 years ago, when they were around 28 years old. Huh I never realized they married that late because I always thought they were in their early 20s. Also I counted; my dad went through 4 change of clothes while my mom changed 7 times! The extra 3 times were for her own individual photo shoot, and I thought she looked really pretty back then. (:

Check out my mom's shoes. I can't imagine wearing some stuffy and stiff traditional costume while trying to balance on some killer heels. Much respect for that era.

I'm not sure when this was during the how-many-days wedding ceremony, but I think this was quite early on during the marriage contract period when my dad had to sit down with some old religious official and say some prayers. I think. I really need to read up on what happens during a Malay wedding ceremony.

My dad had no glamourous shots during his wedding. That's kind of lame. -_-
And just because I can, here's a sexy mufujifi at 2 years old, baring her shoulder to the camera. Seriously, I'm not sure what's up with that.

Haha this is kind of fun. I really enjoy sharing random photos with you guys, so you can expect such things as long as I'm still a member of Gamespot. I think I'll just post a bunch with each blog instead of overloading a single post with pictures.

By the way, the Fly by Night film competition was over since last week, and my team did not win of course. We had fun though during production, and it was a really great 3 hours sitting down with the other competitors and watching all 33 short films for the judging. If my friend uploads the photos soon, I'll post them in the next blog.

So this whole week was actually my mid-term break, which wasn't a break really since we had a bunch of assignments to take care of. Of course I can't complain since I barely lifted a single finger anyway, so ho hum. Played a bunch of games and watched a load of DVDs during the week. Fun stuff.

Guitar Hero 5:
I'm finally putting the game away for a while since I've gotten the Juke Box Achievement I was obsessively trying to get. I had to play 300 songs in Quickplay, and that took roughly 20 hours on and off. I actually made a bunch of separate playlists for guitar and bass, based on how well I can play those songs on Hard and Expert, as well as a playlist consisting of songs that are just really nice to listen to.

I love love love the rock star creator too. It's just a lot of fun making random characters to play with. I was planning to create a really androgynous character for the vocals, since there are some female-fronted bands mixed in the playlist, so it was really weird to see a dude dancing sexily and singing in a female voice. Didn't get to though since I got the Achievement first. Oh well.

The Orange Box:
Finally, I popped this game into my console after MONTHS of owning it. I mean, I did mess around with Team Fortress 2 before, but I wasn't really focused on it or anything. It shouldn't count anyway since I absolutely sucked at that game grr. So I played Portal first, naturally, and it was such an amusing and great game I can't believe I left it unplayed for so long. It wasn't all that hard either despite it being a puzzle-ish game, and I only really encountered trouble in the 16th room onwards? Took me a really short while to complete too, about 4 hours I believe, but the last room + end boss was really tiring to get through. I didn't get the hype over the Companion Cube and didn't hesitate to incinerate it, didn't care for the cake either despite my current craving for one, but GLaDOS was great company. Even though she was trying to kill me.

Now I'm playing through Half Life 2 and stopped somewhere in the canal. I think I'm stuck. I'm at the area with the rotating fan thing in the water, and can't see what I'm supposed to do or where to go. I'm not even sure if that's actually a dead end. Anyway, since I'm still kind of early on in the game, I can't tell whether I'm enjoying it or not. I'll play more tomorrow, hopefully, and see what's what.

DDR Universe 2:
I'M. VERY. UNFIT.

Other than that, jumping around like a maniac is fun. I need to rest after 20 songs or so though. And it's actually kind of hard, and forces me to seriously move around on the mat without stopping. Also, the next time I play this again, warm-up beforehand. My thighs and calves were aching the next day and it wasn't fun anymore.

Ok that's it. Buh-bye.

@zinoalex - When I was 2 years old, I... don't think I was thinking of anything. Lol. And er no, not a model although I've been randomly approached a few times by a bunch of random recruiters to freelance.

If it's the "fan thing in the water" that I'm thinking of.. swim down to the bottom and on the left side should be an exit. I seem to recall many fans in the halflife series though, so I apologize if it's not the right spot

Did you get your parents to sign a permission slip before posting these pictures? Very nice pictures. About DDR2, I'm also in terrible shape....

Awesome pictures. Although we live in different countries - with different cultures and all - the pictures look somewhat familiar. They remind me of the also-reddish pics from the wedding ceremony of my parents in the late seventies...

You've been playing GH5 lately just because of that obsession?

@Naomz - I'm sure shops still sell some crazy platforms and heels, but I'm not gonna try. xD

@GunnyHath - It's cool gunny. (: It's probably my own fault for not looking around more closely or inspecting every inch of the area before quitting.

@luc11044 - Actually, when my dad and eldest sister saw what I was doing, they wanted me to scan in the whole album. No frickin' way. -_-

@julianozuca - I really love looking through old albums because of the tint of the photos. It seems very charming. And uhm yes, I was playing GH5 over and over again for that 30 points Achievement. I've stopped now though!

Wow, you were tiny. Though I don't know what I expect height-wise of 2 year olds...

That shoe is big enough to solve world hunger.

I have a pic of myself as a two year old, but I was nowhere near that fashionable. I think I was wearing a lime green and sky blue tracksuit in it.

@Extra_Life - I was really small as a kid. I'm still short now though. About... 1.61m, which is 5'2? Asians are short. -_-

@hazelnutman - I know right? Wonder what happened to it.

@Egonga - The colours sound... painful...

If green and blue are good enough for the Earth, it's good enough for me ^_^

You can clearly see the age taking its toll on the pictures, but it's pretty interesting to see these old kind of pictures. your mum's pretty, and I like that outfit.

@jaykho213 - Hehe. It's really interesting to see how much different they look then and now.

@-Katsuri- - Thanks. And I have a bunch more of these old photos, but nothing that would particularly interest anyone here on GS.
