Firstly some not so good news, but I really am not bothered by it -- I had to go for a follow-up appointment in the morning since my infected lymph node hasn't completely disappeared. It wasn't anything life-threatening nor is it causing me any discomfort currently, but the doctor referred me to the hospital anyway since I had nothing to lose (except money tsk). I am sad. Because that was the last time I'll be meeting with that doctor.
Err anyway, so my hospital appointment will be this coming Thursday, but I have to re-schedule and make it to Friday instead. I have Magazine Journalism, and I can't afford to skip any more c|asses. Besides, I've kind of caught up with my assignments, and I don't want to fall behind again. I handed in an assignment last Thursday when it was due 2 weeks ago, oops.

Anyway, time for some other better news.

I'm having an open-house right at this moment, and I've been holed up in my room. I only got out to greet my relatives. It's actually really boring, but at least I'm receiving money! I just got 54 bucks, free and easy, plus another 10 from some grocery shopping I did and kept the change.

Good, because then I can use the money to get that DDR game and mat I had reserved from another gamer. Yes, DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION! I seriously cannot wait to play it and make a fool of myself. I'm hoping to get another mat as well so I can invite my friends to play. It'll be a nice change for them, since they're always playing Guitar Hero when they come over. I'll be getting some exercise too while I'm at it. God knows I need some form of workout.

So yes, seeing that I've been in my room all day, I decided to be productive. In my gaming. As you all know, the last time I posted I talked about starting Batman Arkham Asylum. Well I've just recently beat the game on Normal not 10 minutes ago. It was a really short game, though it took me 4 days on and off. Overall, I can see that this game is quality-material despite not being a fan of Batman AT ALL, and I did learn some interesting facts I never knew about. Like Harley Quinn was actually a psychiatrist at Arkham but when she met Joker, her patient, she fell in love with him. Huh.

The only thing I hated about the game is the stealth parts, where you have to hop from gargoyle to gargoyle or hide in drains or whatever. It was seriously very tiring, and it killed my momentum. Every single time I have to get through this part, I was really close to calling it quits. I know the stealth was one of the selling points to the game, but it's just not my kind of thing. But eh, I'm done and I got a decent 550 points to go with it that pushed me just over 20k in my gamerscore. Huzzah!

Next up, Halo 3: ODST! It's still in its shiny, sparkling shrinkwrap oooh. And again, it's apparently a short game but there's Firefight and the Halo 3 maps for replayability. Can't wait to try it out, and ack, 10 days till my Gold subscription expires.

You know what'll be funny? If I find out that I dislike ODST.

Oh yeh I should also mention that I got Ghostbusters for the 360 last week. Not sure when I'll play that, since I plan to start Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 after ODST.

Speaking of Marvel, what was that X-Men comic that had Joss Whedon as its writer? Astonishing X-Men volume 3 or something, wasn't it? Heard there was a sort of collection/omnibus so that'll be a lesser pain in the butt to get. Hope it's not going to eat up too much into my pocket though but having said that, it probably will.

Alright I don't want to ramble too much. I'm now deciding if I want to collapse onto my bed face first, sideways, or on my back.

If you liked all the extra info in Batman then you should really check out the animated series, there's a whole episode dedicated on how Harley turned psychiatrist to the Joker's henchmen. Plus its one of the few animated Tv shows that's worth watching again, most of the other stuff around is "light hearted hippie crap"

@JOJO_AC - I would if I was more interested in the Batman universe. Which I'm not, really. I'm not sure why but when you talked about animated TV shows, I immediately thought of Biker Mice from Mars. God I miss that cartoon.

Ah DDR. Good times! I play some when i was a kid though There are many DDR games right?

How many hours did you spend in AA to beat it?
You disliking ODST would be funny indeed.

Can you upload a video of your DDR nights? PLEASE?

A photo or two of you "getting down with your bad self" while playing DDR would be cool.

The Josh Whedon storyline was from Astonishing X-Men. I got the first 8 issues when they we re first released. the marvel colections are susally $15.99-19.99. Not too much but still a bit.

Congrats on Batman AA!

I'm tired of Robin always getting the shaft. He's the best sidekick ever and kicked just as much ass as Batman in B:TAS. Plus he was the one psuedo-silly comedic relief character amidst the grimness of the series (not saying I didn't like the dark and mature nature of B:TAS, just saying that Robin was damn funny). Remember when he and Batman are chasing Joker in the toy facotry and he sets these flying plane toys to go after them. Then Batman grabs a baseball bat and smashes all the toys grand-slam style. Then Robin says "wow, I know why they call you the Batman."

Classic line. Is Robin in Arkham Asylum? if so, I may check it out, when it's cheap that is. Also, last thing, Batman's not a superhero, he has no superpowers. Plus, infected lymph node, ew.

@GunnyHath - Sure thing, if we can catch each other on MSN. xD And oh yeh, I'll be adding you on Live. Forgot to do that yesterday.

@red-ray - Haha well I like superheroes, to be honest, just not Batman if you want to consider him one.

@jaykho213 - I know there was a lot of them for the PS1 and 2 consoles. Wanted to get the game bundle, but never got around to it then. Now I can for my 360!

@julianozuca - Hmm I'm not sure. Yesterday I spent about 4 hours? And previous days like 1-2 hours each. So that'll be 8-10 hours, give or take. And haha, I'll try to get a video. No promises! I would still like to keep my dignity.

@zinoalex - Haha like I told julianozuca, I'll try to get something up. Anyway, I checked Amazon for the price on the Omnibus and eek. ... I'd probably get it eventually anyway.

@grafkhun - Uhm I didn't watch the cartoon actually. But no, Robin isn't in Arkham Asylum.

Is he at least mentioned in the character bios or does he have a cameo or reference?
Posted Oct 4, 2009 10:34 am PT
Looks like AA is short but still neat. Come back to share your impressions on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - I'm sad because the Wii version was bashed everywhere...
Posted Oct 4, 2009 3:38 pm PT
@grafkhun - I've got some missing bios I think, but I don't think there is any mention of Robin. At all.

@julianozuca - Yup, I'll probably blog about each new game I try out. Err how bad is the Wii version?

Posted Oct 4, 2009 7:27 pm PT
I didn't try it yet; but while the PS3/360 versions got 7.5 here in GS the Wii version got a shameful 4.5. They say the camera is crappy and the same goes to some 'pointless motion controls'.
