Hello everyone! I don't have time to put a picture up, just barely enough time to reassure you of my existence. I guess now I can tell you how I was so "busy:" I went to Washington!

Well, for me, I'm still a little jet-lagged, and tired because we walked probably an average of 2-3 miles per day (for a week). Anyway, it's good to be back, and to check up on all the things which I have been internet-deprived from (for one: you, the enormous fanbase of 1 constant viewer/responder).

Which reminds me, I'm going to ask this: Just in case anyone else is reading the blog,

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT so I know you've been here.

Now, the two cents on. . .

. . . NEW TV SHOWS!

First of all, let me say that I'm not talking about just the Fall Lineup. This has happened in the past before as well. But I really don't see the sense in putting this crap on Television. I mean, who wants to watch a sitcom about people making weddings? That's why Wedding Bells got the boot after five episodes. And what is "Falcon Beach" all about? Are they just TRYING to copy the OC? And the taglines for new introductory shows, like Gossip Girl, sound just plain stupid. Who will watch that? It's like they want these shows to go off the air as soon as possible. And if they actually think these shows will take off, then they need to be put in an insane asylum

Now that I've talked about a few examples, (and there are numerous more) I think I have put my point across, which is: DON'T PUT IT ON TV IF YOU JUST EXPECT IT TO FAIL. And I would also like to talk a minute about newer Animation shows: poor cartoonists, poor plots, poor humor, poor shows overall. They're taking just about everything good off of kid's channels, like Nick and CartoonNetwork, and just throwing other shows onto their lineups. I don't see why any kid would actually like most of this stuff. Spongebob was taking a leap of faith, and it sprung. But that doesn't mean EVERY show has to be set in wierd places like underwater, or in space, or in...etc...

OKAY, rant's over.

To prohibit myself from ending on a sour note, I'm going to "spill the beans" about my new finding, which some of you probably already heard of: Kelly Clarkson will be releasing My December on June 26th. Sounds interesting.

Well thank you for your visit to my humble (yet boring) blog. Now on to the blog title. As you may or may not know, "MTG" stands for Magic: The Gathering. (It's true: I used to be an avid player, and even though MTG didn't stick forever, the name did). Well, anyway, when I was looking at the illustration for a certain "Angel of Despair" (below), she reminded me of a certain celebrity (below AoD). See the similarity?

  I think that artist must have had psychic powers to know that Britney would've shaved her head! Well, I guess anyone with common sense would know that eventually, she's be so desperate for attention that she'd do something drastic.

But now, my $0.02 ("My 2 Cents") today will cover...

Yes, that's right, Starcraft II. I know what you're thinking: about holy flippin' time, Blizzard! I admit, I did too. But they took their time (9 years exactly) to come up with a pretty sweet-looking RTS to succeed the "#1 Best-Selling RTS Ever," but my only real complaint of this point is that they're making it too complex.

I mean, really, all RTS games boil down to "clicking to kill the thing that's clicking to kill you." They have too varied units, and the Protoss don't really look like the Protoss anymore (ex: "Colossus?" That looks like it came straight from Scary Movie 4. Might as well call it triPod. "Phoenix?" Protoss is known for slow, tankish flyers, so this doesn't even belong.)

Also, with it being the sequel to Starcraft, one would expect it to include new, familiar favorites. Well, not exactly. The repeats I saw were the Probe (yay, exciting. lol) and the Zealot. No dragoon (it's now the "Immortal" or something); no dark templar (one of the coolest-looking units), no arbiter, from what I've seen.

 So to sum this "rant" up, I'd say that SCII is going to turn out alright as it is by itself, but will it ever truly be a sequel to SC? Time will tell.
