Hey all, hope things are going well in your neck of the woods...

OK, so I am just going to jump right into this...the end of Prison Break...and if you have not seen this finale you should stop reading right now. While I am not going to recap the show, I am going to talk about the ending so you have been warned. These are just my random thoughts on the outcome of this terrific show.

The boys and I sat down last night ready for an awesome ending to our favorite show and it lived up to what I expected and more. The return of Sucre and C-note was great, like a visit from old friends. The boys were so disappointed when they thought Alex had betrayed Michael, but I, having come to love Mahone just couldn't see him doing that and I was very happy when it was reveled that he and Michael had planned the whole thing in an effort to save Linc. I figured that Michael would want and need to save both Linc and Sara and of course he did not let us down.

I loved seeing the return of Kellerman, and in the end he did right by the brothers and all concerned, but to think that someone with his history could become a congressman is rather scary. Danny Hale's wife spitting on him was a great twist and made me believe that he will go no further in politics, that if he were to try his past would eventually catch up with him.

Michael, finally having been pushed to the brink, pulling the trigger, spoke volumes about how much all this has changed him and it was a sad change. Once upon a time his pointing a gun at someone would have been out of character, but with all the betrayals, stress, and madness he has had to endure it has changed him, taken away any innocence he still had, and made him capable of things he would never have imagined before this all started. The gun jamming was a great touch, as living with the guilt of killing Christine would possibly have been too much for him to bear. So glad that Sara had the courage to do what needed to be done.

And now to the ending, everyone getting what they deserve...sort of. Self, unable to recover, was a fitting end to his back stabbing, burn anyone for my own good, ways. The general being fried in the electric chair was poetic justice as that was his plan for Linc and what ultimately started the whole thing. T-bag back in prison where he belongs, pocket hanging out once again for his next victim. Sucre and C-note back with their families and happy was a great thing. Linc, Sophia, and LJ off living a good life.

Alex Mahone and agent Lange, a nice twist. With all that had happened with Alex and Pam and that compounded by the loss of their son, I was not surprised to see that they were not able to reconnect, but to have Lange there with Mahone was very nice, as it was clear long ago that Lange loved him and would stand by him. I hoped he would get a bit of happiness and maybe with her, he has.

Michael, last but not least. I sat in my chair, watching as he and Sara strolled down the beach, making plans for the baby, plans for a life together, smiling and happy, and then the nose bleed. I sat, stunned, saying "no, no, no." But the writers were not listening. It was hard to watch the last scene, as with tears pouring down seeing is not easy. Michael dead, it was the one thing I did not want to have happen. I know, in time it will seem very romantic that the hero had to die, but that he left behind a part of himself in his son, and that Sara will always have their son, but that is little comfort now. Now I am saddened by the loss of Michael, my hero for the last four years. The end of an era, the end of one of the best shows ever made, and the end of characters I have come to know and love. They and the show will be greatly missed.

Hope you all have a great weekend....

later....

Haven't seen the episodes but I've read a couple of recaps. Stupid PB writers! Why do that? Why would I want to watch the whole four seasons if I know that's how it ends? I know I can't change the end, but I'm still going to email the writers and tell them how angry and upset I am!

hi there.
It was a very sad but yet such a fitting and believable ending. I`m happy they didn`t go Hollywood with an all happy ending. I`m sure we`ll know more about the death in Final break. Loved Mahone`s ending. T-Bag was perfect. Most of the other characters had a pretty great ending. I`m satisfied.

Sorry I don't watch Prison Break.

I stopped watching long ago but I decided not to read about the end. One never knows... Still, I wanted to say hi anyway! Hope you are well!

Can't believe it's the end of Prison Break Although there's still a matter of seeing what happened in those 4 years that caused Micheal's death. It was great to see all the cast again and working except together to bring down The Company for T-Bag who ended up where he belonged. The Story was wrapped up perfectly

Prison Break the best damn show ever

I wanted to stop by and say hello, and as much as I really want to find out what happened on Prison Break I'm not going to let myself read this blog until I've managed to catch up with the episodes... Hope it was a good finale, I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends Hope you're ok! Have a good weekend.

It was as good as I could have hoped for. Michael's death did fit somewhat, but I'm not going to lie, it made me cry like a baby

Penny, hope I didn't spoil anything for you. You really need to watch, as sad as it is because these episodes do a great job of wrapping everything up. I think in time I will see the death of Michael and a very fitting end, I just wasn't prepared, as I went into the finale completely spoiler free and hoping for him and Sara to somehow ride off into the sunset together and happy. I will be interested to hear your take on things after you've seen it.

Avi, I am very satisfied with the way they ended it, but I was really hoping to see Michael get a chance for a bit of happiness in the end. I'm with you on being glad they didn't go all Hollywood and make the end something really sappy, somehow this fits now that I've had a few days to think about it and get over the shock. Can't wait to see Final Break even if it means having to relive Michael's death. This show, for me, will always be one of the best. It has been a great four years.

12678, glad you stopped by. If you get the chance, you should check this show out, it really is one of the best series I have ever seen and is well worth the time it takes.

Mafalada, I could not give up on this show, having come to love the characters so much. It was so worth the time I invested in watching it. So glad you were here, hope all is well with you. *hugs*

Vman, It is hard to let go of this show, I will really miss it. I liked where everyone ended up, except Michael, of course, but I think once I see the "rest of the story," even that will be OK. I, unlike you, have to wait for the dvd of Final Break in July and right now that seems a very long time away. I totally agree with you about PB being the best show ever!

Badgersmuffin, Great that you haven't read any spoilers. I went into the last episodes spoiler free and I am so glad I did. The twists and turns came as a complete surprise and that made it very satisfying. It was one of the best finales I have ever seen. I would love to hear what you think after you have seen it. Hope you're having a great weekend. *hugs*

Robo, I agree, it was great. Now that I have had a couple of days to think about it, I agree that Michael's death was not such a horrible thing and I think once we get to see Final Break it will seem even more appropriate. I, like you, was crying like a baby and it really felt like I had lost a friend. Amazing how invested you can get in the characters you love.

Hi, how are you? I am glad to see a new blog from you! I used to watch Prison Break while I was in Portugal because it aired at lunch time and my tv only aired a Tv station. It was not my favourite show, because it scared me (especially T-bag), but in a way it was also catchy, so I watched it almost until the end of season 2. In Italy it aired at 11 pm, but after season 1 they cut it because parental advisory boards complained stating it was too violent. I hope you found the finale satisfactory and appropriate, because most of the times finales are not that good....I hope to read again from you soon. Have a lovely Sunday

Pacchiotta, you must have been commenting on my blog at the same time I was commenting on yours...lol. I loved, loved, loved this show and was hooked from the very first episode. They gave us a great four years of incredible story lines and wonderful characters and I will miss it. The finale was one of the best I have ever seen, with everyone kind of getting what they deserved. I loved your blog, btw, very insightful. Hope all is well with you, too, and that you are having a great weekend. *huge hugs*

Cant wait to actually watch the episodes as well...i know il be crying like a baby in the Finale.
