This post is a little late, but.... I got an early acceptance for university!! With a nice renewable entrance scholarship, too. ^^

I actually got accepted ON the day of Obama's inauguration. Funny how that worked out

Now I just have to go and check the place out, since it's a 5 hour drive from my city. I'm going there in the Fall to study Criminology and Criminal Justice... should be fun.

Also, I'm really REALLY annoyed that the Sims 3 got delayed to June 2nd... Although to be honest, I was expecting there to be a delay. Now I'll have to wait until after school finishes to get it, since that's right in the middle of my final exams @___@

Anyone have any this year?

I'm really going to force myself to get my driver's license this year, specifically before I go off to college in the fall. Shouldn't be too bad, though. The earliest I can go for the road test is March, so that leaves me tons of time.

On another note, anyone ever done those in-classroom driving school sessions? I just finished mine, it was a brutal 4-day crash course. They showed us a 40-minute video in one class that was pretty much about Newton's laws and how they apply to the road.
Which is great and all, but I don't think it takes 15 minutes to explain what inertia is >_>

School starts up in a couple days, and I have this nagging feeling that there was something I was supposed to do over the break...

Anyway, I actually do have a question for anyone who's interested in helping me out.

See, my parents are offering to get me a laptop for Christmas as a grad present... problem is, I'm not really sure what to ask for, since there's an assload of different laptops on the market.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to ask for a Macbook... unless the price becomes an issue. I'm not utterly concerned with gaming capabilities, and I do use Photoshop CS3. And I'd use it for school stuff, too.

What games can you play on a mac, though? ¦'D
