I've wanted to play Psychonauts for a while but I never got around to it. When I found out that it was free on GameTap I realised I had no excuse and downloaded it straight away, what a great decision.
Psychonauts is an adventure/platforming game created by Tim Schafer who is one of my favourite game designers of all time. His previous work include Monkey Island and Grim Fandango so I immediately new that the game was going to be funny. The game has you playing s a psychic called Raz as he enters the minds of different people trying to figure out what's going on in his summer camp. This is where the game really shines as the level design is some of the best I've ever seen. Back this up with clever and witty dialogue and Psychonauts is a blast to play.
The game only real shortcoming is the platforming which is unfortunately poor. After playing games like Mario the platforming in this game just feels clunky and broken. This wasn't helped by me playing on the PC which is the best way to play platformers. This lead to some frustrating moments where I just wanted to scream.
I didn't let that get in the way of me enjoying the game though. I was really pleased with the game and it's worth playing just to experience some of levels like 'The Milkman Conspiracy', 'Lungfishopalis' and 'Waterloo World' to name a few. I think everyone should go and play it and seeing it that it's free, yes FREE, you have no reason to not even just check it out.

In other racoon news a person has found a rare Albino Racoon, even I didn't know such a thing existed. Also some racoons gave people rabies but we'll forget about that.
