Just bumbed into this gem of a game tonight. It's a source mod downloadable via steam for those with any source engine game. Basically it's a multiplayer game where you fight on foot and in ships.

I only briefly played one game mode so not sure if there are more, but in this one both teams have a capital ship, protected by smaller corvettes. You start as a standard BF2142 type soldier on the capital ship, board a fighter and go out to destroy the enemy corvettes protecting the mothership.

Once that is done the enemy capital ship's hangar bay shields go down and you can start infiltrating it, taking over and crippling its weapons, shields or hangar bay. If your assault fails the corvettes are reborn and chances are the enemy will get to try next.

It has nice variety of weapons with the fighters varying from clumsy dropships and bombers to agile interceptors. The infantry weapons are unique and fun, you've got flamethrowers, ion cannons, railguns, remote controlled turrents etc.

It looks good, plays smooth, only problem is the lack of players but there were few well populated servers even in the off time so I expect it to be very alive at a better hour.
1. Dragon Age (PC/360/PS3)
Bioware's next RPG, hopefully a deep one and not just another action-RPG.
2. America's Army 3 (PC)
Been waiting this for a while, high expectations but if it sucks it's not like it costs anything.
3. Mass Effect 2 (360/PC)
The first one was great but I wish more emphasis on the rpg elements instead of action, prolly will be otherwise around.
4. Alan Wake (360/PC)
Thriller by Remedy can't fail.
5. Elemental (PC)
I dunno much about this strategy game, but Stardock has never let me down before.
6. Mafia 2 (360/PS3/PC)
Mafia is of the best action games ever with a story worth of the bigscreen.
7. The Precursors (PC/360)
My dream game has always been one where you can fly in space AND fight on foot, this is it.
8. Dark Athena (360/PS3/PC)
First is among my all time favorite fps, with the 1st ones campaign included there's no way it can be worse.![]()

9. Naumachia: Space Warfare (PC)
Online Space shooter where you fight from smaller fighters(fps) to big capitals ships(rts).
10. Borderlands (360/PS3/PC)
Dunno much about but sounds a bit like Mad Max which is enough for me.
