It's been some time now since my last blog. Over two months actually. A lot has happened in this time, and yet, not a lot that I felt was important enough to write about.

Let's start with the most recent stuff, shall we?
So, as many of you may know, Yesterday night at 12:01, the sixth Harry Potter film was released. I also happened to stumble upon an interesting situation that allowed me to be present at the midnight screening of the film. My good friend Maya invited me to join her and three other friends of hers, Kendra, Hanna, and Meghan, to go see it. For those of you looking for a film review, I'll keep it short and sweet. The film was good. Better than the previous by far in my opinion, though that in itself isn't saying all that much. It covered the book much better, though there were still a few nitches that didn't quite fit, but the film itself was good. My only huge complaint is, I didn't like the ending. I really didn't think it fit.
Any how, so the rest of that night was fairly interesting as well. I spent half the night trying to keep Hanna out of the liquor cabinet, and the rest, making waffles at 4:00 in the morning, running around outside, and other such nonsense.

So now, you may be wondering what I have been doing for the past two months or so. Well... in truth, my life hasn't been all that exciting. I've spent most of my time catching up with old friends, and trying to break one of my good friends out of her state of depression. It is proving to be quite a task. Oh and of course I have been keeping up with my trombone practicing.

Now for the future. My goals and such. My next upcoming event, which I am quite thrilled about, is the Marrowstone Music camp, a two week orchestra camp that starts in about a week and a half. I went to this last year and it absolutely blew me away. Also, I'm still looking for a job, though I must say, I haven't been trying all that hard to find one. But seeing as how I'm starting college in the fall, I will definately need any cash I can get. Along with this, I hope to FINALLY get my drivers licence, though I'm not exactly sure I have the time to do that before school starts. Ah well. Hopefully. And one of these days I want to start fixing up my old beat up toyota pickup. It's essentially totalled, but it can still move...

Well... that basically sums up my at the moment. Peace -Colin

So, it's been a little while since my last post, but not much has happened really. The only big thing that has happened since is I was accepted into the Marrowstone Music Festival, of which I am very excited for! I went last year and it was quite literally the best two weeks of my life. Amazing people, decent food, and the whole time I'm basically doing one of two things. Hanging with awesome people, or playing awesome music. What can go wrong there?

Yes, so I'm very excited for that, It's a two week camp starting in the last week of july.

On another note, my daily life has been a bit strange. I haven't been doing much. playing guild wars now and then, and practicing music. that's really about all. I am hanging with a few friends downtown tomorrow which I am excited for. Also, I like this girl, but it's really not going too well. She's best friends with my best friends sister, and the only time I really see her is on the bus, when she's with my best friends sister, or when I'm hanging out with him, my best friend, and she's also over at his house. We email back and forth a little, but it's seeming to be one of those annoying "not going anywhere" situations.

Ah well. suggestions anyone?

Ah, what an eventful past week. So. My GED testing... went well, to say the least. I passed all the tests from last week, easily, and I took the math today. Math is easily my best subject, so I'm highly confident in my score there. There shouldn't be any problem... so what does this mean? Essentially, this means that as of today, I am no longer a high school student!

Now, I should have quite a bit of free time, but I feel like being at least a little constructive with this. If anyone has any cool ideas of things I should try, let me know!

Life right now is going pretty well. I feel I'm starting to turn this depression stuff around, and I'm really looking forward to Marrowstone this summer. College starts up next fall, so until then, I have to figure out what to do with all my time!

Thanks for reading everyone!
