Men with Brooms takes a humerous look at the sport of Curling. It's not just about curling though. In fact, the sport isn't even the main story, unlike so many other sport based movies, which are about the winning the championship. The story is about 5 guys, who were a curling team 10 years ago, and who's coach has recently died. Part of the coaches will states that his ashes be placed in a curling rock and that it be used by the team to win the championship. Did I mention it's not about winning a championship? It's about winning in life. The guys haven't played in 10 years and their training to get back into competition reunites one of them with his dad, another leaves a loveless marrage, another one starts his family and the other guy ends up canceling his debt to mobsters. This humerous tale is definately worth a rental.

There are funny parts in this attempt at comedy, but chatting with friends would probably get you more laughs. Andy Dick has never bee funny, but sometimes it's funny to see him fail to get a laugh. This is the only DVD in my collection that I haven't listened to the comentary on, and it's also the only DVD I wish I didn't buy. Sad, since it was also the cheapest DVD I've bought.
