Tomorrow I will be leaving for the tranquility and blinding whiteness of Lapland, to spend Xmas with my family. I will be returning a few days before the new year rolls in and would like to take this opportunity to let all my friends (both of you) know that even though you may have wished for it on many an occasion, I have not left for good just yet. I will be taking my laptop with me, so if the wireless gods are in a permitting mood, I will pop up every now and then like a bad rash.

Without further delay, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas (or whatever it is you celebrate this time of year) and a Happy New Year. And since no Monco holiday-themed blog would be complete without a scantily clad elf, here you go:

Oh, and please people, remember to vote for Left 4 Dead every chance you get when GS' yearly awards come around.

Sincerely, your pal

Monco

Have lots of fun with your family, monco! As always, thank you for the pictures.

Does this mean we won't have a 2008 version of Monco's GOTY awards?

Have fun with the familia and don't forget to email a picture of Bruce Campbell to Arcadius on Christmas day...

Now that's some fine holiday greetings. The season wouldn't be complete without them.

Would this be a harbinger for a new edition of Friday Funbags by any chance?

What that you say?... left for dead, you say... sorry I'm wasn't listening. I was distracted by an elf.

I think I'm going to vote for fallout 3 for game of the year.

I'm in the same boat as Jimbo -- is it the ghost of Christmas present, sent to inform us of the glorious return of Friday Funbags!?

Haha in any case, Funbags or not, have your self a merry little Christmas, good sir!

Where to Lapland are you going? We often go to Saariselka for the holidays. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

@ 31160618:

As always, it was my pleasure scouring the internet for pictures. Believe you me...

@ Sydogg:

You shall have one, though it will be slightly toned down from last year's outing. All those pictures and text made it really, really hard to get up here. And I'll try to get to it before New Year's Eve. If not, I'll pull an IGN and post in in January. Fear not though, I'd never pass up an opportunity to rag on games.

Excellent suggestion, btw. Arcadius is sure to blow a gasket.

@ Jim:

As luck would have it, I've been working on a new one for some time. I hereby promise to try to get it up as soon as I get back from frolicking in the snow.

@ zgreenwell:

In that case, you are forgiven. I'm glad you ended up liking Fallout 3, despite my suggestion to the contrary.

@ bacchus:

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, who's been blessed with a family that isn't a total pain, so it shouldn't be too hard. Next Xmas I'll promise to go all out and post full frontal nudity. After that, you won't see me again of course, but that's a reasonable trade-off.

@ xbr:

(Copy Paste my response to Jim)

@ ImaginaryFriend:

Don't mention it!

@ RK-Mara:

We tend to switch places every time we go. This time we're checking out Ylläs for the first time in a while.

@ all and any late arrivals:

Once again, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!

Merry Christmas and while I am sure the guys love the picture... it does absoulutly nothing for me!

Heh heh heh. Merry Christmas Monco. Though alas I disobey you, Left4Dead was not my choice this year.

Blah, you should have found a picture of a woman in a green and red lace bra and thong with an elf hat on. THAT would have been awesome.

If only all of Santa's little helpers were so blessed with such large . . . um . . . well you know, holiday greeters.

Have fun in Lapland! That's an awesome place to have a Christmas holiday
Maybe you'll meet some of Santa's little helper while you're there

I do own that movie where Bruce Campbell screams like a little girl when the mini campbells start to crawl all over his body, and I recently saw Spiderman 3 with my daughter, so sending me a picture of Bruce will surely make my day.

BTW I bought the BC movie on monoco's instance, bad choice.

BTW2 I should feed myself to the ghouls for not writting this earlier, but Merry Christmas to y'all and a Happy New year.

And Monoco....don't you have a steam account or something so that I can join you in Left 4 Dead and pwn yer arse at last? or have you been avoiding me?
