The one thing I frown upon when it comes to Limited edition games is what they offer. I dont mind having an extra DVD showing me how the game was made, and I find it kind of cool they offer codes to unlock content you cant get anywhere else. But the one thing that really dissapoints me are T-Shirts, yes thats right, T-Shirts.
Its not that they are bad to wear or they dont look good or the wrong size, but its more what is on the T-Shirt. I'll give you an example, my local store has just released Borderlands, with the special addition you get a T-Shirt which shows the same picture as what you get on the box art, a cyborg like mutant giving the physical impression that he is going to shoot himself in the head (with appropriate blood splatter to boot aswell). Now this may seem cool to those who have played or know about the game, because it portrays the story. But it would be impossible to wear a shirt like this in everyday society, it gives out the wrong message.
Another issue is the limited locations you can wear such a shirt. You would only be able to wear such shirts at game events or other game related activities, because atleast there people understand what the shirts all about.
In conclusion though I am not bagging out the shirts, I am only bagging outthe society of stereotypes.
