While it's not quite "the most exciting news to hit PlayStation Home since Open Beta", as Sony would like you to believe, the addition of photo sharing to the service is still appreciated.

PlayStation Home users will, as of later today, be able to display personal pictures in their Home apartment. Ever wanted to see what your friend's dog looks like? BAM. There it is. In a picture frame, hanging up in their flat.

As with most things Home, however, there's a catch: you have to display the pictures in a picture frame. And you have to buy the picture frames (though there's no word on price as of yet).

Jeez... I'm so sick of Sony charging us for total bulI**** stuff in Home. The only way to display a picture is by using a picture frame, which costs money? That's the stupidest marketing scheme I have ever heard in my life. Hopefully they'll learn to actually make it free by the end of 2009.
