One of my birthday gifts from my parents was some vouchers from the local golf range. An awesome gift as it gives me time to go out with my old man and have a bit of alone time with him. So earlier today he picked me up and we headed out to belt some balls.

Since buying my clubs about a year or so ago I've only used them twice so it was good to dig them out of the dusty ol' cupboard.

I always start a little rusty, but after awhile I am hitting like a pro. There was a new competition at the range where if you hit a barrel with a special yellow ball (only one issued per game) you win some cash. I made sure I had plenty of practice and was doing really well until it came to the yellow ball. Miss-hit and it went dribbling away - typical

Despite not winning the cash I had a great time. Bit sore in the back after all the swinging, but it was worth it. Certainly helped me forget about all the crap going on at work today. Latest headlines give you an impression on what is going on there...

My Birthday!

Shame I had to work. Actually employers should make your birthday a day off. Anyway, as I had Monday off for a Doctor's appointment I came in today faced with a stacked in-tray, overloaded email inbox and a million phone messages.

When I finally started work, there was nothing to do but cry over the sea of red that was the share market.

Then when dealing with all the above the building managers decided to hold a fire drill (which usually keep us out for at least an hour)

The positive of the day? I got to leave early and have a nice birthday dinner Can't wait for next year

My wife and I are celebrating our Wedding Anniversary this week. The actual day was Wednesday, so we used that day to exchange gifts. We'll go out tomorrow night for dinner and a movie.

I was lucky and scored a game and some new works shoes. As for my wife, I finally got her Wii Fit which I promised to her ages ago.

We both gave it a quick go just then. I was 2 kg into overweight so I've got a goal to lose a few. My wife was actually on the lower end of ideal weight so I told her to add a few but she instead will focus on aerobics and yoga aspect of the game.

So far it has been pretty fun. We might not make a routine out of it, but will be a fun distraction now and then.

I've just purchased the Prima guide for Warhammer Online and will pick up my pre-order tomorrow some time. I'm quite excited for this game as I haven't really played a MMO for ages and nothing has really beat EverQuest 2 in my eyes. I took a little quiz and have been suggested to play as a member of the Empire.
