Outrageous. Oh dear god, what a mess. Bruno is exhibitionist material, voyeuristic and gratuitous. This style of comedy is what makes Sacha Baron Cohen both an icon and a out cast. Yet his mainstream appeal is ever growing. Always extreme and controversial, Cohen as Bruno pushes the absolute limits of human tolerance and boldly crosses the line of decency again and again,with no restraint or remorse.
he is relentless in his behavior., which is purposely offensive and overtly sexual.

The jewel of his comedy is in the genuine reactions he produces from real life people unscripted and totaly unprepared. He makes fun of societies preconceptions and flawed values of what they believe to be moral and just compared to what they consider to be the opposite, and he shows us that the difference is only in our fragile minds.

He also show us how rediculous it is to have hatered of those that are different, yet how our tolerance is used as an excuse to hide our true feelings, of hate and disgust. Could it be that we are ashamed of our own discrimination? and the more we strive not to discrimate we end up sacrificing our beliefs.

His work suggests alot, alot mre than we understand or care to admit.
There is a bit of genius in his abrasive and disgusting humor but only the concept of what he does not in the actual performace of it. However I have to credit Cohen for his incredible ability to impress upon people and manipulate them into playing his game while at the same time never once breaking character, at least not on film. Bruno is adult humor taken to a very shocking and sociological level.

Transformers Robots that desensintize. Prepare yourself, To do battle, wage war,and For 2 hours of metal, mayhem, super sized explosions, oversized mechanical monsters, evil alienoid robots from the planet Cybertron, coming to wipe out the human race using a giant plasma ray gun, hidden and buried deep below the earth. Does that sound a tad bit overwhelming to you? It?s a recipe for disaster.

Mix in some raunchy comedy and that?s Michael Bay style in a nutshell. He pulls no punches and every statement is balls out blatant. How about a scene with a teenage boy about to be raped by hot young teenage girl who is really an alien robot in disguise, hell bent on dissecting him? Yah sounds like it belongs. After all it is a Michael Bay film.
So lets go for it. If you manage to get around all that extreme, you might be able to find a movie worth watching. Transformers ROTF, is in essence a sci fi war movie but in this war is really hard to know who to cheer for or even why. Everything and I mean everything takes a back seat to action and special effects. Yeah the actors look good, sound good ( all be it they don?t really have any good lines ) and theres plenty of them, but I expected better usage of character this time around. The movie is funnier than I expect, the laughs in the begging really catch you off guard and were strong but like with everything else in a MB movie, it taste bad when overdosed.

I really have to complain about the new Autobots, and some of the Decepticons, just looking and acting all together way too human. First off they tried to pour way too much personality into each one, making them sound like horrible stereotypes, or guests on a trailer park appealing talk show (ya know the kind that insists on airing peoples ?Dirty Laundry? ) You might want to cry foul when you see the joke about the giant evil robot of destruction having a pair of metal clanging testicles. Some robos have big googly eyes that look swollen, long bat shapped ears, thick oddly shaped out grown teeth that mismatch in color, and some even have a full out bristly beard. Does that even make any sort of sense to you? A Robot with a metal beard? Whats next zits? tattoos, piercings, how bout a big wet metal tounge.Why not? Such is the stupidity. Theres no ruling on any of this insanity. But, enough about our non human actors, how about those 3 stooges and the 1 really hot chick? Does anyone else notice how actor John Turturro looks a lot like a would be middle aged Shia LaBeouf ? Do ya think the resemblance had anything to do with their pairing? or that in the movie Simmons even calls Sam his son ? Well Simmons is quite the protagonist as it turns out, he leads the group on a while goose chase( or should I say camel chase ) through the Egyptian desert of all places.
What are they searching for? the plot of this movie ? A good joke ?, or a place to end their career? Now how about that love story between Miss Fox and LaBeouf? Well, it was well presented but had very few moments. Not a lot develops, until the end. It was definitely lacking, and considerably Megan Fox was hardly even there, it was disappointing.

With all the movies absurdity aside it does manage to deliver a spectacular fight sequence on several occasions. Its most defiantly thrilling it?s a bit shocking too, with some big moments of despair. ( Dont worry Im not going to spoil it ) In terms of action this is definitely bigger and better than the previous but, a lot of personalities have been reduced in their role, such as the Air Force crew, other Auto bots and thankfully the annoying parents. ( although the latter come in to play a lot near the end. )

I was surprised at the language this film explicitly delivers through its robot lips, and I couldn?t help but feeling creeped out by the tiny little robot insects that stick their incredibly sharp metal feelers inside human body parts. Nasty.

There was a lot more dialogue from the digital characters this time, and I think they handled it fairly well. The villains were pretty cool and very much evil. The best bit of course being the huge battle at the end with explosions a plenty.

All in all it?s a good movie, exciting and adventurous which is what you paid to see.
You have to gear yourself up to see it though, cuz its going to leave you winded and dizzy.Its about the equivalent to seeing the Circus, Mardis Gras, a demolition derby and the 4th of July fireworks all in one day. God bless the USA. ( and even Michael Bay )

I sat down in the theatre and got caught Up in a really sweet, storybook escape. Up is like a daydream that goes beyond your expectations causing you to slowly drift into a feeling of euphoria. The rich, colorful palette of this film pleases your eyes with its flavor. The seemingly endless and vast blue sky calls out to your sense of adventure and encourages the imagination in us all.

I truly enjoyed watching Up, and was entertained from minuet to minuet. although, I didn't like the idea of this old man having to drag around a house, I wasnt expecting it to be that way. I feel like it limited this films mobility and dragged down the overall plausibility.

I don't know who wouldn't enjoy this movie. The only thing you really need while watching this is to turn on your imagination and let go of your logic a little, its best not to remain so grounded.

Up is a real charmer its a splendid family film even for the grandparents. It's very sincere, and sentimental in tone and message. The folks at Disney and Pixar have once again dazzled us with lovely images and a story thats pure, youthful, bliss. The romantic overture, and delightful nature of this film, carries you along for a ride you'll want to share with everyone around you.

Jokes are a fickle thing, but humor is the voice of the heart and Up beautifully captures that quirky and spontaneous humor that only comes from experiencing lifes precious moments. Joyful isnt a word I like to throw around but, it fits quite well when attached to the spirit of this film.

A very small gripe I have with Up, is it's lack of human characters, which leaves us without much dialogue, and no narration to boot, also some of the jokes repeat a little to much. Oh and dogs flying airplanes...not sure about that, but I can easily look past it for all the underlined pleasantry of this pic.

Its cute, its fun filled, free spirited, UPlifiting and sensational. Young and old will love it. What else is there to say about Pixar that hasnt been said? Pixar iis to animation what Picasso was to paint, and if characterization was ever considered an art form than this film deserves its own section at the Norton Museum of art.

Theres a lot you can walk away with after seeing this pic, but mostly I like to believe that 1.Your heart is never too old to have an adventure and 2. .No matter how much life brings you down, don't give Up on your dreams, you never know how high they may take you, if you let them lift you Up.

The present is only a transition, but what if you knew the future, or worse you knew there was nothing you could do to change it. What if the future was a world of nothing but despair? Terminator Salvation is a post apocalyptic nightmare rendition of our own civilization. The land ravaged by napalm and the sky polluted with ash, the outlook seems a little more than bleak for everyone, but that doesn?t stop one man. They call him a prophet, others know him as a leader, and in some respects the savior of our species. Present day 2018, John Connor is perhaps humanities last hope in a war against the impending doom, a design of their own destruction. Machines, that seek to annihilate their creators, and conquer the earth for themselves, have nearly done so if it weren't for the efforts of a few struggling survivors know as the Resistance. But what chance do they have against the cold calculated judgement of modern technology? Slim to none, yet still they fight, as best they can. This is the type of run for your life, were all gonna die, super disaster that never lets up. Its like a feeling that your drowning for a solid 2 hours. If you enjoy war scenarios, or just like to watch other people suffer this might be right up your alley. Its full of depression, gloom, and doom, not much else, oh yah except giant killer robots with chain guns, missiles, and laser beams. Actually the robots are few and far between, terminators take a back seat to all the drama going on back at the human camp. The Terminators are rare and appearances are less impactful than ever. However there is that one scene with a massive two ton metal giant. Anyone who has seen the Transformer movie has witnessed much more impressive metal. This thing is just a clanky mess of random parts and obscure structures. The biggest, most unforgiveable flaw in this film is its lack of any identifiable villain. All previous Terminator films had an iconic go getter, someone chasing down our heroes from moment to moment without hesitation. This time however, its lacking, and the film is dull, draggy and less of an adrenaline pump. Even though the opening credits gave me goosebumps,without the powerful presence of the man synonymous with Termniator, this film is just a flop, no matter how big the budget was, it got sizeably downgraded without Ahhnuld. Sure it manages to throw in a very convincing CG replica of 1984 Arnold, but that?s only nostalgic for a brief moment. We understand none can replace him, but at least give us a warrior worth cheering for. Terminator started off as a film that was Sci Fi new age, terror, borderline horror. This time around all the scare is gone, and so is the mystery of what the future holds. Theres small stuff that harkens back to the earlier films but definetly not anything groundbreaking. Still it's a nice subtlety they include for the fans. All the characters in this movie, might as well be invisible, their performances are so average yet unrelateable. Bale is bland, others are boring. Without good characters theres hardly anything carrying this most basic of plots. Seems like every good movie franchise has its bad apple, and this ones definately not the best of the bunch. The battle of man vs machine has got to end and if this film hasn't killed it yet, I don't know what will. Another big question is, will the sour tatse of this film spoil everyones appetite for Transformers 2 ? ( which is right around the bin.) Like a war plane flying across the enemy battlefield, this movie Bombed ! It was A major system failure.

Been through hell and back many times, and inside he still hurts, but how’d he get there? And where did it all go wrong? Im glad you asked. Straight from the pages of Marvel comics comes the latest installation of a film based entirely on the origins of the widely popular and highly fan favored character Wolverine. Played by the renown actor, and supposed world’s sexiest man Hugh Jackman; this is the fourth time Wolverine has appeared on the big screen, but this time the spotlight is all his.

Even though the film bares the name X-men in the title don’t expect to see a lot of familiar faces. This story goes much farther back and predates the team by a century or more. Have you ever found yourself wondering, or caught up in a conversation about jus how did Wolverine get those shiny metal claws? Or perhaps you were the odd man out because you didn’t have a clue. Well its about time for you to see for yourself.

In this flick Marvel reveals to the mainstream, a lot of the mysteries behind the man with the metal. He was once a soldier, make that 4 or 5 times a soldier. He was once a son, a brother, a best friend, a lover, an honest hardworking man, but still theres more ( and not just underneath the skin ) Maybe you do know about his mutenagenic healing factor, which partially explains why he’s impervious to old age, but chances are you don’t know about his involvement in the CIA. The story leaves a lot of the details out forcing you to assume, and play a little game of fill in the blank. Wolverine is a movie about love, trust, and betrayal but most about blood thirsty revenge.
Its also a movie without highs and lows, its all pretty much straightforward. The whole way through its anxiety driven, blood for blood. It seems to focus on the concept of war.

It hardly gives you a chance to feel anything else, even at its would be saddest moments. What good is a movie that only makes you feel one emotion? The pace that it moves from scene to scene leaves you feeling empty and conflicted. As far as the action goes, theres certainly plenty of it. Everyone seems to jump on board like a wrestling free for all. Fighting, hatred, rage, and killing is what this movie is all about. Not very flashy or stylistic to say the least. You wont see any elaborate costumes or really dazzling special effects, just a whole lotta SLASH and BASH, almost what you’d expect from a $2 comic book, isn’t it ironic?

Theres nothing at all subtle or poetic about this, but does anyone care? After all its Wolverine not Shakespeare, but it turns out it really does matter, as movie goers seem to be less than thrilled with the this release. How is it that Wolverine’s back-story can be so rich and intricate, ( Theres been literally novel upon novels written about him), yet when it comes to the plot, it seems to be the one thing they left out. I say left out because I have to wonder that maybe they did it on purpose so that audiences wouldn’t be bored with the lack of action, but it seems to have had the reverse effect. It’s like making a dinner and only serving dessert, or making a pie without the crust. Whatever you compare it to something is definitely missing. Sad that such a fantastic character gets treated this way. Many Marvel mainstays and personalities make their debut here, but characters are rarely referred to as their codename, although you have quite the rundown featuring Gambit, Sabbertooth, Kestrel, Maverick, Bolt, the Blob, Silver Fox, Cyclops, Deadpool, White Queen and a few unmentionables. Hey not bad, but none of them truly leave much of an impression other than being flat, except for the Blob. He’s more round, yet still somehow seems 1 dimensional. ( Does he really even belong in this story? Whose idea was this? My only guess is that the producers wanted to use him instead of Mastodon who is a lot less famous, but fans should know Blob doesn’t belong.) Near the end of the film everything is such a mess, all the characters are scattered and so is whats left of the plot. You’ve practically stopped caring seeing as how Wolverine is practically invincible but he has already been defeated emotionally. This movie is 99% action and 1% drama, and just like the ending of any 12 â€" 25 page comic book you’ll ever read it has no real conclusion, and the ending is just the beginning of more strange things or chaos. Still its Wolverine, its intense, its got box office appeal and you know you want to see it.

If you like the concept of Demolition Derby x10 and on steriods youll love this. Its pretty freakin brutal, and theres no BS just straight up action and in your face drama. Its one of those movies that you need to watch if your feeling alot of pent up aggression, like from being stuck in traffic all day.

Or have you ever got a certain satisfaction from sitting there and watching those crash test dummy commercials, and thinking there must be a sick part of you that enjoys destruction and chaos? Then this is for you, kid.

Not for the squeamish, this movie takes the graphic from graphic novel and brings it to life. So keep the kids away, this one puts batman to shame,actualy its more like Dick Tracy's worst nightmare times 10.

Its darker than most any action movie you've ever seen and littered with mature dialouge and adult situations.

Frank Miller's original work is given the grand treatment and kept in style of his universe using the extreme conrast of absolute black and white with the occasional splash of red for flavor. You might say its the ultimate fanboy service as the characters and events from the novel are portrayed in great detail with the help of a truely all star cast.

Divded into 3 stories, each one of them tells a different tale of revenge, leaving behind it a stock pile of dead bodies.

For those of you that prefer your fiction with a heavy helping of Doom and Gloom, you will certainly get your fill. Theres truck loads of action and bravado,not to mention the guts and glory.

If guns,hookers, and fist fights are your thing, Sin City is to die for, otherwise,repent now and save yourself.

As is the case with any American Pie film, the main character suffers from a stigma he must overcome with the help of his friends.
If your name happens to end with Stiffler you?ve got quite the reputation to uphold.

Stiffler seems like your typical nice guy on the inside but on the outside he's just another horny teenager. This time it?s the boy?s girlfriend who?s holding out on him, waiting for that special moment, which seems to be the poor boy?s big dilemma.

Stiffler?s friends encourage him to branch out and find another girl to do the deed with.
Thus they embark on a road trip to join up with Stiffler?s cousin and resident drinking champion. Meanwhile he is faced with the overwhelming temptation to take the plunge, despite his genuine feelings for his girlfriend.

This is a somewhat relateable and powerful experience that many teens are faced with.

AP TNM isn?t much of a comedy its more or less just a film that celebrates the rampant nature of college life. It?s not without its share of gags at the expense of midgets and penis exposure. If its stupidity and nudity your looking for AP serves you a full plate., but unfortunately its quantity over quality.

The audience for this type of film is a select few, just fresh out of high school or those underclassmen still trying to solve the puzzle of virginity before they graduate.

AP has always found humor in the awkwardness of sexuality and still manages to do so but to a much lesser degree.

This is one piece of pie that tastes a little stale after the 4th slice.

Will Smith is out to impress us again, following up on the success of "In the pursuit of happiness" comes a similar tale of a man with a generous heart. Smith plays the role of a guy that seems like he has his life pretty well together, with his job working for the IRS. What appears to be an astute business man is actualy more of a hero in disguise. Smith often deceives the ones he finds interest in and desires to help them like noyone else can or would. Before you go judging his character as anti social or repressed, stop and think about his intentions. Smith does an interesting job of portraying a man with a lot of personal regret and overall grief. This is not a happy go lucky tale of boy meets girl, or a man that saves the world, instead Seven Pounds is a look at a tragedy and unfortunate circumstances through the eyes of a guy that wants to help by giving of himself 100% unselfishly. there are alot of moments that seem awkward and unfriendly until you reach the near end of the film and it becomes clear. Its a very heart felt story that ends on high note and may even surprise you. It may even have a critical impact on your life. There are alot of realistic qualities about this film and its designed to sorta keep you guessing. You might say its an emotional rollercoaster. At times you will feel weaked by its over bearing seriousness. Its not exactly a romance or drama but mostly just a story with a strong message and a beautiful meassage. A message of self less , genuine charity I cant say its a very entertaing piece but,Its something you should watch with your family or someone you love, it could very easily bring a tear to your eye.

A tough movie to watch, this film is a powerful drama, and disturbingly emotional. It also has a tendecy to prey on our fears, especialy a mother's biggest fear of loosing her child.

A bond between a mother and a child is an exteremly powerful and complex thing. The love a mother can have for her children is intensely mind blowing.

Thats why a seperation of any kind can be absolutely devastating for everyone involved.

Supposedly the film is based on a real life event. A single mother loosing her only son to a suspected kidnapping. Angelina Jolie plays a mother who,embarks on a desperate attempt to reunite with the only real love of her life, her darling son. Things only go downhill from there.

Its truely heartbreaking to witness the Mothers anguish and sorrow over loosing her son, and if that wasnt enough, the poor woman has to deal with the police calling her a liar and insane.

It is unbelievable the amount of adversity and heartache this woman has to endure and the fact that she manages to get through it is quite a testament to her strength.

alot of pain and just overall uncomfort is experienced through this film, its a truely sad story that doesnt quite end happily.

The film deals with such heavy issues and the length of the film begins to really take its toal on your psyche.

I cant reccomend this film to anyone, for any reason other than to see what a talented actress and performer Angelina is. If your the least bit sensative, stay away from this movie. One thing can be said, is that the woman in the movie never gives up hope, even at her darkest hour, her truth prevails and the unjust are punished, thats the only relief the film has to offer from an otherwise brutaly tragic tale.

Your complaining about Mark Wahlberg as Max? who were you expecting Edward Norton? well it could been alot worse they could have chosen Ben Afflack ( hachhu! i mean Benjamin Affleck ) Ok im only kidding, but seriously what have you got against Marky Mark?

Hes been the star of some pretty intense films, and has proven he can do action scenes quite well. So you say its not Mark's fault its the rest of the cast? O'Donnel,Mila Kunnis, Beau Bridges, and Ludacris? Ok that does sound a little rediculous, but i still think it worked out ok.

Sure sure the casting should have been much better, but try to look past that.

It stands up really well as an action thriller with suspense and a little bit of mystery. Its basicaly a cold hearted revenge tale of a good guy gone bitter.

The story, well considering this is based on a video game, Id say not bad, but I know people are going to think im making excuses for it. Ok look im really trying not to. I honestly had fun watching this, as I do most anything with Mark.

So everyone seems to think they ruined the plot or didnt capture the mood and atmosphere of the game, well maybe they can make up for it in the sequel?

Just try to be thankful they even made the film, alot of really great games get over looked. Metal Gear Solid, Ninja Gaiden , Prince of Persia.

Im sure casting for the lead in a game to movie adaptation is hard enough, let alone the supporting cast. Im lookin forward to Max Payne 2, even if noyone else is.

That’s what dogs do, that’s the magic of owning a personal pet and sheltering it. They open your heart and enlighten your life, and I think that’s what this movie was really all about.

Marley was a constant reminder of how out of control yet enjoyable life can be.

A dog is a very special companion that will always be there for you no matter how bad things get. Its a really life changing experience.

This movie should really strike accord with dog owners, and pet owners in general.

It’s a sweet little endearing film, perhaps a bit too long and aimless but, a good film in general for just about anyone to enjoy. Perhaps the memory of a lost dog or pet is still too vivid in your mind, in which case this movie may help you ease that pain and just be thankful for what was. If you take Marley (the movie) home with you, or show it to a child, I can almost guarantee they will want to own a dog if they don’t own one already.

Based on the hit video games series and not the blockbuster film franchise, Resident Evil Degeneration is a bit of a side story that depicts the famous heros Leon S Kennedy, ( fresh off the trails of RE 4) and re appearing for the first time in the series since 1999s RE Code Veronica., Claire Redfield. Other characters are forgettable toss aways with hardly any reedeming qualities or personality.

RE Degen, begins itself within the confines of an airport facility where we meet up with Claire, looking fresh faced as ever. Meanwhile Leon gets sent in by the government to investigate the suspicious activity and recent events in the area. Claire and Leon eventually rendezvous and tag team them themselves through a facility flooded with man eating (and woman eating) zombies. RED is a reminiscent and nostalgic slice of Resident Evil lore. It features familiar events and identities such as the G virus incident of the acclaimed Resident Evil 2 video game in which you first take the role of Leon and / or Claire. In fact the movie even reference said events, and includes a brief but nostalgic flashback scene. All the elements of a good RE fiction seem to be in place. It's old familiar territory with a refreshing new look and style. I’m not much one for all CGI movies but I have to admit that the CG looks pretty impressive and no detail is spared when it comes to gruesome, spiny, horrific monsters.

Categorized as a CGI action flick rather than a sci fi horror, RED is full of adrenaline based ,survive or die moments that aim to keep you on the edge of your seat.

If it has any major faults, it’s that the running length is too short, and you feeling like your saying goodbye to the characters you barely had a chance to reunite with. It’s a crying shame. The plot may also seem a bit skinny and underdeveloped but then again this was never meant to be a major motion picture release, but instead perhaps an experiment by Capcom as a means of promoting their bigger project, the release of Resident Evil 5. So to say the least the story doesn’t exactly cover a lot of new territory, but merely appetizes your craving for another chapter in the zombie chronicles.

Still RED is worth a watch, certainly if you’re a fan of the series, if not then you might decide to pass, but look forward to more exciting film releases from Capcom’s creative team in the near future. Devil May Cry anyone?

Lady Death was pretty fricken sweet. This movie rocked of hardcore brutal death,and despairage.There was skull bashing,head slicing and blood splattering, all the things you love in a movie right? Not to mention Lady Death has some killer big ***s.

Anyway if you're a fan of Barbarian epics, I think you'll like this. Yeah it coulda been more brutal, there should have been a gigantic fire breathing dragon or something but, it still kicked a$$.

As great as the Wonder Woman movie was, this was much better in terms of action, but im afraid that WW had this beat in terms of story and presentation. Although this had some really nice visuals, besides Lady Death's massive chest.

Anyway where was I ? Oh yah , I think this movie should be granted a sequel. I'd totaly say it's on par if not better than the cult film Heavy Metal.(another death metal homage). So If dark anime is your thing, you gotta check this out.

Think about this, what kind of a statement is it when Satan is your father and you visciously murder him with no regret? I think thats pretty bold.
What other characters can actualy say that? I mean she overcame the mass armies of hell itself ( with a little help of course ).

The movie is a tad anticlimatic. You'd think the ruler of all evil and darkness would be just a little more powerful but nawww. Turns out he can get his head chopped off and die fairly easily.

I cant say for sure how well it stacks up compared to the comics, but Im betting they missed a few things. I read from the creator that He is quite disatisfied with this release. So there is much need for improvement.

I'd love to see Lady Death get more attention, she is just as badass as Spawn ( well not quite thats cutting it a bit close ), and definetly more badass than He-man ever was or will be. I also like that shes not a very mainstream character. Theres no badder b*tch around as far as im concerned not even the Witchblde holds a candle to LD.

Any comic buff or sci fi fan should check this out no questions asked just pick it up, put it in and enjoy. Its not the holy covenant of animation spectaculars but, you could do far worse.

It’s a heart felt story about a trucker who gets involved in a custody battle over his only son.However, it’s also a tale of a man's path to the arm wrestling world championships.

Small time man and cross country trucker Lincoln Hawk, is behind the steering wheel of a massive 4 wheeled diesel machine. His life is the road and the road is long and lonely.

Hawk has firm control of the wheel, but his life has been steered off course and now is his last chance to pull it back over, over the top.

In Hawk's world, a mans only as good as the workload he can handle, respect comes from the hardest of hard work and everything has to be earned by breaking your back.

Men like Hawk have to rely on their muscle and hustle to make ends meat, but unlike a lot of other guys in his shoes Hawk has a strong heart that begs out for a family. He misses his son more than anything and regrets the mistake he made many years ago when he left.

There’s a lot of exciting and emotional scenes in this film besides the arm wresting ones, like the scene where the son tries to run away or the one where they spend the night together in the truck.

I really like the scene that has a small but sweet montage of an early morning exercise with the sun rising in the background, this is where the soundtrack really begins to shine, and highlights the tenderness of the film. You feel a sense of pride and connection from father and son being on the open road together with nothing but miles of country ahead. Its scenes like those that really pull the viewer in and show them that its not just another go get em , beat em up action flick, like a lot of Van Dame or Steven Segal’s stuff.It definitely has character and compassion.

In a great scene with father encouraging his son to take the wheel, Stallone actually shows a pretty good sense of humor. It’s a beautiful moment when the boy realizes that doing isn’t always as easy as it looks, and there’s a great satisfaction that comes from taking control in your own hands. Apparently that’s something noon else had taught him. It’s a big moment, just like a father teaching his son to ride a bike for the first time, and there are continual moments like that.

Stallone’s character gives a fantastic speech in one scene where the despair of loosing and feeling defeated is something he helps his son understand is a part of life, and something he must work to overcome. It’s a very strong message that carries itself through life, its something every father really should teach their child. I think Stallone’s character realizes that a big part of being a good father is being a good teacher. This is the reason his wife wanted the boy to be with his dad, she knew it was what’s best, for both of them, to grow.

The movie is pretty much a drama on wheels, about parenting, family, and surviving together, making each other stronger. There are some really nice shots of landscape and open road, all set to an upbeat 80s soundtrack.

The movie really kicks up the intensity when he looses his son and has to go it alone in Vegas where he competes to win a brand new truck and 100 grand in a take all tournament.

Its nostalgic as an 80s film and really stands out as some of Stallones best work right along side Rambo, Rocky and a few others. The 80s was a time that really glorified the body and this movie fits right in with all the hoopla.
Also there are alot of good quotes and fun quotes you can take away from this, most noteably when Hawk says to his son,
“ The world meets nobody halfway, and you gotta do whats best for you.� This is what the story is all about. This message sells it.

The arm wrestling in this film is no joke. The team hired some big names and top guys to perform including the AW golden boy and multi time world champion, John Brznek who has a small but noticeable role on camera. The action is without a doubt exciting and indeed over the top. There were some really unique and interesting characters specifically designed for the film, and they play out fantastically well on screen, just like a pro wrestling show you might watch each guy has his own style of intimidation.Heck the movie even features Hall of Fame Wrestler, the Legend Terry Funk.

They packed the arena full of people and got the crowd pumping for such an event. I don’t think you could possibly film better AW scenes.

Just like the music so boldly proclaims, “Winner takes it all, looser takes the fall.� In the end the strongest prevailed and what was strongest was the fathers overwhelming desire to be with his son. I’m not surprised there are so few movies about arm wrestling. I admit it’s definitely not the most popular or respected form of athletic competition, but, if there can only be one arm wrestling movie I’m glad it’s this one.

I believe it does a great job of highlighting the sport and its enthusiasts. I also feel like it encouraged a lot of people to discover the sport. It’s great to have a film like this that not only promotes arm wrestling and applies it to life, but makes for a wonderful father and son story. This movie is a tremendous example of the how success is not limited to resources, and that achieving a higher goal is possible through hard work, and determination

I know they must've had a good time maing this. Get Smart is like Mission Impossible with a comedic twist and Steve Carell is hardly Tom Cruise but instead hes the perfect Maxwell Smart. The whole time I pretty much felt like I was watching the Fugitive. Its a whole lot like movies you've seen in the past such as Enemy of the State, Bourne Indenity, even Die Hard. Just seemed like a movie fit to sell Shia LeBeouf as the running man in your next action flick. It even felt a bit like Transformers the way you had the military and government heavily involved and the idea technology being a threat. Action scenes were definetly a non stop heart pounding moment to moment adrenaline rush, which tossed you in the drivers seat without even a second to get a clue. Its a movie you probably need to watch at least more than once to truel appreciate because, you can literaly blink and loose the moment, not to sure if thats necessarily a good thing. however this film delivers big, action, excitement, and drama. give it a go.

Anyway Hasnt he already done this same thing in another movie? Oh yah Blood Diamond. Oh wait, but this is in Afghani, not Africa. Well the point is its another american film about foreign relations set in another country.

Leo doesnt exactly come off as a likeable guy but, Ill give him 1 thing, he can definetly play intense. It wasnt the worst movie to come around this year but I wasnt really thrilled with with it.It was hard to get attached. For 1 thing his character wasnt very personal. This film was a whole lot of confusing. Oh yah and Russell Crowe manged to slip in there almost undetected. ehh this was kind of a watch it in your spare time type of thing. A whole lot of drama and angles and not enough personality, too bad.
