But only because the previous editor retired ![]()
So there is new stuff to learn ... like do I insist on listing the names exactly as written in the credits?
Bobbie DeLaurentis is listed on IMDB mainly as Robert DeLaurentiis. Some people have added a second last name in addition to the one listed in the credits.
Plus I have to figure out how to fix the sequence of the episodes. And how to add DVD credits.
And what to call the roles. The series credits have six people in the start credits, and in the end credits, they usually have a couple of Guest stars, plus some people listed as cast ... which doesn't really correspond with TV.com's Star, Special Guest Star, Recurring Role, Star, Cameo ..
The series I'm editing? It's The Big Easy.
The first season came out on DVD this summer, which makes the job SO much easier.
I was level 7 and eligible for editorship when I added Blood Ties the TV series on January 26th.
Unfortunately, I was promptly stuck by the level demotion bug and remained at level 1 for about a week and was thus unable to contribute anything to Blood Ties towards earning editorship, so someone else is now editor.
I have decided that the Blood Ties editorship is probably in better hands with an experienced editer, so I'm okay with it now - though I will admit to being mightily frustrated for a while.
I have since worked my back to level 3, but at this point, I'm not too optimistic about having my original levels added to the current one. I've posted about it in the level problem thread and I've seen many people get their levels back without anything changing in my level.
Oh, well - I can add stuff again and since there are no editorships I'm working towards, I guess all is good.
Okay - there might be one person I hope to become editor for - he's currently editorless, so I'm taking my time. If it happens, it happens.
I haven't even put this entry in the 'rant' category ;-)
My plan is to practice writing episode reviews since that will come in handy also outside tv.com.
Format:
Just to remind myself ....
< b>Chris< /b>: < i>(Smiling)< /i> Howdy.
Resulting in
Chris: (Smiling) Howdy.
Looks like editors prefer one quote added at a time - makes for more points too ;-)
Newest quote is added at the top.
This means that if you do all the quotes from one episode at one go, and you want them listed in the correct sequence, you have to add the final quote first and end with adding the first quote from the episode. That way, the first quote will be at the top and it will be in the correct sequence. Some quotes may refer to a previous one, and it's a shame if the sequence is not kept - if it's possible.
If mentioning movie titles, they should be italicized with < i> and < /i>
My Recent Reviews
I'd definitely watch him in an Andromeda spin-off - or in whatever else he might put his talents to.
I agree - he could be another...
