After too long stressing about it, I've finally got this essay out of what little hair I have left.

AS usual, I didn't sleep and pulled a stupidly long caffeine fuelled stint of studying- I really wish I didn't do this to myself.

If anyone can tell me how to study progressively and without the hallucinations, sleep deprivation etc etc etc, I would love you forever!

What was worse still was taking a break and checking the net for news, at about 8 or 9am (GMT) I was faced with the news about Steve Irwin. I really thought it was a sick joke or that I was seeing things, I wish I was.

He'll be sadly missed, but I have every faith that Terri, Bindi and eventually Bob will keep Steve's message and passion for nature very much alive.

-I'll quickly add that the reporting of this has been shocking. Every report has been, music, 'X is dead' music; report- had it coming, irony of shark, lovely guy.... What, excuse the pun, a crock! It's only words to reporters, but Steve Irwin was loved by the old and young, and everyone inbetween- a lot of kids got to hear that 'structured & balanced' report before going back to school today...

This has turned into a rant. Sorry.

R.I.P. Steve.

Oh, glad to see I'm not the only one who pulls all-nighters. Actually they're more like half-nighters, since I usually end up falling asleep. And I, like you, end up hating myself for doing that. So that's why I have made a plan for this year...start studying the day you find out about a quiz, test, etc. instead of waiting till the last minute. I've heard this tactic works for my peers and is usually stress-free, so I'm going to give it a shot. Care to try it out with me?

And yes, I was shocked to hear the news of Steve's death as well. What a sad way to start out my new school year..

[Shuffles feet like a three yr old, looks down and mumbles] I will try...

Hope it works for one or both of us!
