It's hard to look at the back of a game case and predict whether it's going to be any good, and nowadays it's hard to believe some reviews, so when I picked up Dead Space the other day for £10 I didn't know what to expect. Instantly as soon as I got off the ship at the start of the game, everything feltright. The controls are easy to use and the graphics are brilliant. An hour into the game and I couldn't tare myself away, it's frightening, edge-of-your-seat atmosphere that games such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill have been missing these days. I haven't completed it yet though, I'm around 5 hours into the game on chapter 7 and I've got to say, when it comes to reviewing the game, I'm expecting to give it a definate 9/10... that is if it continues to please and excite me, I've still got more to go, more truth to uncover, more terror to absorb!
Seriously, his music aside (as he's now beginning to listen to dance music), my brother is starting to act more and more like a chav... anyone in the United Kingdom should know what one of these are. He's 14 years old, yet he swears after every word, talks to chavs on MSN and has near no respect for our parents or anyone else for that matter... whether this is just his way of 'growing up and rebelling' I don't really know, but his attitude is starting to annoy me... and to think he used to listen to metal bands such as Machine Head and Therapy? and actually be repectful to people.Anyone else got an annoying little brother? Lol...
Maybe it's because I don't have much time on my hands, or maybe it's because I haven't found a game that really rocks my world, but lately I've bought a game, completed it and then cannot be bothered with it again. I'm almost done completing Resident Evil 5 a second time but this time on Veteran, but I just cannot be bothered to turn on my console and finish the damn game.
I've actually been on my PSP more than anything else, I bought Alien Syndrome the other day and found it quite interesting... said that, I bought Silverfall today and can't quite get into it too good just yet. My PSP has become my main console, whereas it used the be 360, 360 and more 360...
Meh, I'm probably just rambling on here without giving a point, but I need to get back into playing my 360 more often. I only bought Battlefield: Bad Company the other day and have played all of 2 hours of it. I do play my Xbox quite a bit, but just not as often as I used to, perhaps this is for the better... perhaps it's because I'm getting old! Haha, I mean 18 is the new 40 nowadays.
Ok, enough gibber jabber, thanks for reading my blog, it feels good to be back on Gamespot again after my huge break from the site, hows it going people?
