Heya all - I've just got a few things to talk about, so it's gonna be short and sweet.

Firstly, I'm very sad to see Lin (LMH68 ) leave TV.com so suddenly. She was a wonderful contributor to the site over the two years she was here, and very supportive of everyone. I'm glad I befriended her. I first met Lin on the Torchwood board during the first series, and then she kept popping up everywhere! Like I said to her in a PM (I guess she blocked comments on her blog), I wish her the best of luck, and I hope we she her come back sometime.

Secondly, TV.com is messed up. For me, at least. I can't access it at all. Whenever I visit a page, it just goes blank...absolutely nothing comes up. At the moment, I'm writing this from Gamespot (and I do the same for visiting blogs and reading PMs). That means I can't access any of the TV.com boards, nor my submission queue.

Having said that, the other day, the site loaded a bit, but not fully. This is what it looked like as I tried to get to my submissions:

I PMed a TV.com staff member, and my queue is being looked after. Unfortunately, I'm unable to check my forums for unnecessary topics, so please report any if you see them. If anyone has any suggestions to fixing this problem, please say! I really don't know what I'm gonna do!

That is all for today - see ya around!

Level 32, 53%-ish (I'm guessing - I can't see! I'm Level 7, 33% on Gamespot!)

A huge shame that Lin has left, I support her for it but it's a great loss to it all.

May I recommend you clear your cache / cookies / temp internet files, this usually resolves the problem.

Tom.

Yeah, I was pretty shocked when I heard that Lin was leaving. I know a ton of guys here that are leaving, but didn't expect her to go as well.

I'm so sad to see her leave. I was just getting to know her well too. I'm thinking theres something more personal involved here though, because she deleted EVERYTHING. All her blog and stuff. and her blocking of comments seems like its more deep rooted than just her being busy. I do hope we see her again down the road.

I've been thinking the same things myself about leaving, as work is taking me out so much, and there are only so many hours in the day (except when you travel across timezones). But at the momement I've managed to just scale back on TV.com, hopefully I'll be able to keep it going.

Hi Matt. I also have been thinking about leaving, but for diferent reasons.

However, there are ppls I care about here and to walk away is not that easy.

Hope you sort out your site issues.

Yeah, it's really annoying, France - especially as I've got a feeling nothing will work, and it may be stuck like this forever!

I've tried deleting the cookies, etc., Tom, but it still doesn't work. I did try that before, but thanks for the suggestion.

I agree - it's odd that all the blogs Lin did and stuff has gone. She'd spent so much time on it, it feels like such a waste. I couldn't get over how sudden it was - I really hope she comes back, even just to post one further blog.

And I do hope nobody else leaves. I notice you've been less present on TV.com, Steamy, and I'm glad you're getting back on here. Also Miles, I hope you stick around too - it's sad when anyone goes.

Hi again Matt.

Have you tried using/or creating a diff Windows user. That would at least prove or disprove any local settings issues.

I am not leaving...hope you don't either.

The site does act up from time to time. Can be very frustrating.

I'm lucky *touch wood* that the site's working fine for me so far. And yeah, you're on 52.56% of Level 32 according to your score.

It is sad that Lin has gone. She will be missed.

Will you be shelling out for the Devastator cards when the deck's released?

I've had that problem you're having with TV.com, but it was due to my internet speed.

Have you tried using Mozilla Firefox. Its better than Internet Explorer

I've tried using the desktop computer that's connected to my wireless internet modem (is that "technically right"? I just like big words!), but it just comes up blank, like my laptop. I'm assuming it is the wireless internet connection, but I still don't know how to fix it. I'm afraid Firefox didn't work either, Rach.

I might be getting the Devastator cards - now that the magazine's stopped, it's a little less incentive, but I'm sure I'll pick up the odd pack at the newsagents!

Boy, if only the problems with the site had stayed that minor ;-)
