Magic played guard for the Lakers his whole career and he lived up to his name of "Magic". He gave the most spectacular passes you've ever seen: The No Look pass, the Drive and Dish, the Behind the Back pass. Oh yeah Magic was 6 ft 9!! I've never heard a player that tall playing guard. The only person that comes to mind is Michael Jordan at 6 6 but Magic as 6 ft 9 made him like Jordan an incredible tough player to guard.

Magic like the all time greats made his team better. I hear the crap that Magic won his rings because he had James Worthy, Byron Scott, Kareem, etc as if Magic didn't make these guys better. He did just like Jordan and the Bulls. No way Pippen, Paxson and any other Bulls player lucky enough to win a ring with Jordan would win a ring without him.

Most analysts and commentators will say the same. On the subject of Magic and Jordan. While Jordan accomplish an insane amount of things, he never accomplished one thing that Magic did which was in his rookie season win an NBA Title and be named MVP as well. That puts Magic in a special league.

The Showtime Era of the 1980s was a great, great time in the NBA. Of course Magic had great feuds with Larry Bird, Isiah Thomas, and many more.

Magic led the Lakers to five NBA Titles and put the Lakers as they always have been as one of the true classic organizations in the NBA.

Unfortunately Magic had to by force retire in 91 due to HIV. He actually had a ton of basketball left in him but due to disgusting complaints and opposition by NBA and it's player, Magic decided to retire. It's a shame really. This guy did so much for city of Los Angeles it's inspiring. Los Angeles despite whatever stereotype you've heard is a tough place. The Lakers still above everything else still stand as one of the city's true gems and Magic has a big part to do with that.

He tried a comeback later but there was far too much time away. Still Magic Johnson will be remembered as not just a great player but like Jordan a human being that touched so many people in his life.

It's until maybe a couple of years ago that he really started to get notice but this is a guy that's been in acting business for like thirty years. However, a lot of his early stuff were bit roles stuff you probably wouldn't realize he was in (until now that he's famous).

However, slowly the guy has gotten big roles like in Thirteenth Floor, K-9000. However, no doubt his most remembered role will probably be President Palmer on 24 and right now his current role on the Unit as Jonas.

So he's played the President, played a detective, he's played cops I think right now he could played any role.
A good actor overall.

A great adaption of the comic book hero!!!

Wow. Wow. Talk about a great film forget about the people who say this movie fails. Iron Man the movie is not only a great adaptation of the comic hero but is a great movie in general. It has it all: Special effects, great acting, interesting, realistic characters and a very modern story. Of course this is also attributed to the fact that comic book itself has all these qualities as well. For anyone who wants more of Iron Man after watching the movie, I would highly suggest getting in the comic you won't be disappointed!!! (Spoilers) The comic of course was created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Larry Lieber, and Don Heck. The film follows the comic book very well (with a couple of alterations such as it taking place in the West Coast instead of the East Coast for example). Backstory: Iron Man or should I say Tony Stark (who in my opinion is one of the most underrated comic book heroes who doesn't quite the same publicity as Bob Kane's Batman) is a wealthy socialite who makes his life building and selling weapons. In a way just like Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark is a business superhero. Also, unlike Spider-Man, The Hulk and other comic book heroes there isn't a mutant or radioactive, gamma force that gives the hero his power, the power lies in the man's own ability to use his intellect, wits, bravery and judgment to combat the villains and problems he encounters. Tony Stark, Iron Man fights against a corporation/terrorist group known as Ten Rings in Afghanistan. In the comic book, Iron Man has many adventures fighting groups that have profited and used his own weapon systems from Stark Industries. Stark is forced to create a replica of one of his Jericho missiles for the group or face death. Worse yet, Stark having felt a blast that has left shrapnel near his heart MUST wear a chest plate to protect his heart. Yinsen (another prisoner) is the man who has kept Stark alive and helps create the prototype of Iron Man with him. Yinsen helps Tony get the necessary time to get Iron Man up and running. This leads to an impressive special effects action sequence that led to a lot of clapping and cheering with the audience I saw it with. After this recovery from death and from the words of Yinsen who tells him not to waste his life, Stark has a major epiphany. He no longer wants to make weapons of destruction, he wants to save lives. His business partner Obadiah Stone does not share Stark's new vision and this leads to several dramatic scenes and more superb special effects with Iron Man. I will not spoil what else happens except that it's excellent. Before watching the movie, I saw an interview with Jon Favreau who said he was going to make a movie that would make lovers of the comic book happy but also make a movie simple enough that you didn't have to be an expert in it. What a smart guy he is. Jon is a good director but this was by far his biggest project. I mean Marvel wants to make a franchise of Iron Man just like they did with Spider-Man so a lot was riding on the line and Favreau delivered a home run!!! Speaking of home runs, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man was unbelievable I cannot think now in retrospect a better pick for the role. Jeff Bridges was great and Gwyneth Paltrow were also very good. I'am glad they went with this cast and didn't go for the younger cast which would not have achieved the same results of this very adult oriented comic book hero's life. Again going back to why this movie is so successful: It's not dumb down, we got a moral dilemma with a guy coming to grips over the destruction that comes from his business but is starting to correct it, we got several shots at the corporate culture putting profit ahead of lives, we get a nice romantic storyline here, we have multidimensional characters, and lastly we got great special effects. On top of all this we have a good attempt to follow the comic book hero. I don't know what else to say if what I say hasn't convinced you that Iron Man is not just a great comic book movie but a great movie in general then there's nothing I can do. However, you will be missing out on one heck of a great movie. Thumbs way up!!!!!!!!!!!

Now for something completely different. To go from Eddie Murphy to Forest Whitaker is like going from a giant F to a proud A. Forest has done it all, he has taking a lot of chances, has put up really strong performances and has come to be known as a respectable actor.

This actor has the complete resume. He knows how to play soft characters, tough characters, comics, you know name it. His performance of Lt. Jon Kavanaugh on repetitive and ailing "The Shield" was my major motivation for watching that show but even before that in movies like "Panic Room", "Last King of Scotland", "Species", "American Gun" Forest has shown his skill as a actor.

He is up there with Denzel Washington and Cuba Gooding Jr. as capable actors but sadly doesn't quite get the same attention as they do but make no mistake that's he's a great actor.

Well where do you start with Eddie Murphy? Talentless, arrogant, idiotic? He's also had this reputation and not surprising he's lived up to it for over twenty years with one bad films over another: "Daddy Day Care", "Nutty Professor", "I-Spy", "Dr. Doolittle", "Norbit". It's funny when one person (who really didn't know much about movies) told me how great Eddie Murphy was he had to go back nearly twenty years to come up with what was considered a hit yet had no response for the present failures that's he's done (go figure). Another user who've I've asked the same question said it better (takihg into account Eddie's past and present history) "he's becoming an unfunny joke".

Murphy's career on paper looks like one of those 15 minutes of fame type of deals. Now in 2008 his failures stick out now more than ever as Eddie resurrects the same stupid characters over and over again. Worst yet is that these characters themselves and movie itself isn't funny. Take Norbit for example the movie was a critical failure and even black themselves have shown their disgust for not only Eddie's poor performances but his continued ability to shame the black community. Robert Entman who wrote the "The Black Image In The White Mind: Media And Race In America" said that "There is no excuse for him to lend his prestige to something like this." Of course why this untalented comedian lends himself to this is quite clear the allmight dollar (so much for being a rolemodel).

Speaking of which, he's had two failed marriages at last count and he's decided of late to put off meeting his latest child. There's nothing good to say about him. He's always had this reputation for being overrated except now it's more apparent than ever with failure after failure, poor performance after poor performence, lack of any real story after another, and critical reception of his garbage films. Again the good news is that most people now see him as he really just a terrible actor, comedian who really deserves no mention at all.

There have been a lot of misses but hits to go along with it obviously having the Jackson family name helps her out.
It's also obvious that the Jackson name after the pedophile that is Michael Jackson doesn't really much anymore like it used to. The Superbowl incident a few years ago was a lame stunt to say the least which dragged her reputation down.

Her acting career could be summarized as average like so many other performers she's tried to make the crossovers but with lukewarm results. Her early acting career was great, her recent stuff is not so great (anytime you star in a bad Eddie Murphy movie you've reached rock bottom).

It seems like she's wisely staying with her music career which is a smart idea. She's still as popular as ever. Obviously as well with the young audience she has the chance to get even more new fans. I can't believe though that so many people fell for his self-righteous Christian act. I certainly didn't. I found his show to be mediocre from the start. Then when I started hearing about this so called "great guy" was wanted in Mexico for kidnapping charges but didn't want to turn himself in well I knew it was a matter of time before the fraud would be exposed.

Then it finally happened two months when Chapman was exposed as the racist he is by his own son!!! People who are trying to make excuses for Chapman have said that everybody uses the N word but that is pure nonsense. I certainly don't use it and many others would certainly not use such a vile word with the consistency that Champman confessed to.

To me it's just funny when to bail out someone, how people often generalize the most insane things to let somebody off the hook. No matter though as now the fraud has been exposed. Chapman's apologies were laughable at best and he still seemed angry at his son for exposing him when in fact he should be angry at himself for being a racist white man.

Of course his show will probsbly get back on the air but when it's all said and done what greater public will remember about Chapman is that 1) He was former criminal 2) He's a racist. Whatever he did or said in between is irrelevant.

Like so many other wannabee celebrities he tarnished his image and really when you hear his taped confession you can see really the accumulation of his racist attitude, so this wasn't a one time where he blew up, he clearly is a very racist person with anger issues (one of the few things that he actually admmited to on Larry King Live). I remember him quite well when he was on ESPN2 and he had his own own show TALK2. Much like the radio program that he has people could call in and say anything they want. Rome took it another step further and like the popular talk shows of today like to put people on the spot and criticize a lot of big names in sports. This is the part that made me tune in because not only does he share a lot of sports facts but he does tear up apart sports figure who disgrace themselves. In this day and age, there seem to be more fanboys more than ever than seem to look the other way because of their favorite sports star (Bonds, Kobe, etc) so Rome's critique of sports figure is well needed.

If I had to choose between listening to him or some other radio talk show I'd probably choose Rome instead that is if I had the time.

Interesting movie based on the real life case of Jesse James Hollywood one of the biggest young lowlifes you'll ever see. Having seen various news segments on Unsolved Mysteries and America's Most Wanted, I felt I had a decent background on what to expect here. For the most part, it's not a bad movie but it does have a couple of flaws. In the end though Cassavetes does a good job of showing his own interpretation of what happened. For instance, he uses Bruce Willis and Sharon Stone to play the parents of Hollywood perhaps hinting that bad parenting was a factor in his pathetic behavior. With this I disagree because Hollywood (looking at home videos shown on UM and AMW) really looked like an evil punk. My opinion on this is that it really wouldn't have mattered if he had great parents or not, this idiot would have turned out to be trash either way. Now, I have to agree with the other reviewers that Justin Timberlake in was great. In fact he's perfect for this role Frankie Ballenbacher. He is brash, arrogant, a loudmouth but can also be serious in his songs and interviews. He plays this role as best as anyone could playing a real punk who thought. He may not have had the lead role in the movie but in my mind he's the one that stood out. Cassavetes changed the names too but he didn't need to do it. Jesse James is called Johnny TrueLove here, and the victim Zach in real life is called Nick Markowitz. The stories is still the same too, Nick's brother, Ben had a drug deal with Jessie and had a falling out and thus Jessie wanted to collect the money in one form in another. Another thing that the movie shows in consensus with real life case is that Nick Markowitz perhaps didn't take the whole kidnapping thing as seriously as a victim would. He is seen hanging out with Jessie's friends and blonde bimbos. Hell he even tries to pick up the bimbos himself. In all, Nick acts more as a guest than a kidnapping victim. I guess his expectation was that it was all a game and that it would never go as far as it did. Cassavetes presents Hollywood's hoodlums as the news reports did as accessories to a crime who were too afraid to stand up to Hollywood. It's clear by watching the movie and a couple of the reports that Hollywood wasn't well liked which makes him getting away with the crime at the time equally disturbing. However, for my money I don't feel sorry for these losers since all of them participated in the crime and they all deserve to be in jail. Summing up then, "Alpha Dog" is a decent recollection of the events about the real life kidnapping/murder case of Nick Markowitz. Cassavetes does add some things like the parents interview that adds unnecessary details for the movie and scenes could have been taken out , but I have to say it was a decent movie.

Despite all the tragedies in wrestling there's been very little done in terms of the health, sanity and overall perception of wrestling to the public. The wellness program the WWE has in place is shaky at best and is far, far too limited in it's use that it's almost a joke.

McMahon and the company have shown over time to care more about the business, money side things than everything else. The steroids scandal in the 90's was handled poorly by the WWE which basically denied the use. The WWE since still stands by this position and gives very little in terms of taking responsibility over their wrestlers.

It's not surprising to see McMahon with his critics, as he and the company bring this all on themselves. His tremendous contribution to wrestling, however, will never be taking away. He put the other companies out of business.

He's built up superstars from other feds that were underused -Jericho, Guerrero, and the late Chris Benoit and really gave them the opportunity to showcase their talents.

He created with input one of the most popular spectables in all wrestling named it "Wrestlemania" and from then on has created an empire, a monopoloy, on prowrestling. He is without a doubt, a smart business man. As a person, though, I can't say I admire him. I'am a wrestling fan who watches wrestling from any company, however, looking at Vince over the past decades has made me lose respect for him the way he approaches several touchy issues.

Instead, of standing up for what's right and trying to clean up the business more, instead as a businessman he cares more about the business side of things.

She was born with a lot of opportunities into the entertainment than most people will ever get, however, Foster has taken advantage of each chance and shown that she is a real actress that can do anything.

She was born with a lot of opportunities into the entertainment than most people will ever get, however, Foster has taken advantage of each chance and shown that she is a real actress that can do anything.

You can't help but be impressed her work from "Taxi Driver" to "The Accused" to her role in "Silence of the Lambs". Foster will play almost any role and deliver a sense of realism, intensity, and passion to it that only a few actresses can do. She's respected by both male and female stars in Hollywood.

It's hard to fathom then that despite her success at an early age she is really self-conscious about who she is and her job as an actor. She went to Yale graduated with a degreee in Literature yet still didn't quite know what to do with herself. She went back to what she knew best and get back into acting.

She was extremely skeptical of her performance in "The Accused" which ended up winning an Oscar for her performance. The same thing happened with her role as Clarice Starling in "Silence of the Lambs". This self-conscioussness is I think what really helps out Foster. She doesn't let success quite go to her head. I've never seen her brag about her performance and that really is what many actors should do.

Career-wise, she's picky about the roles she does but often times surprises people by her choices. Foster really is an actress that marches to her drum. She will be remembered as one of the best stars in Hollywood in a long time. It's also a great example as she was a child star that she breaks the stereotype that child stars usually end up with tragic lives and a worthless career.

I just read a great article written by Rachel Skylar entitled "The Smooth Spin Stylings of Condoleeza Rice" and it pretty much summed up this lowlife and the way she goes on to manipulate the truth to the American people-either by ignoring the question completely, given inaccurate answers, or changing the subject. Rachel Skylar uses the example of Rice's guest spot on Meet The Press with Tim Russert when the subject was Iraq. Russert himself while he can be a conservative journalist in this episode shows the manipulative nature of Rice to spin the truth:

Rice states that the "notorious highway between the airport and the international zone is now controlled by Iraqi forces". Yet as Rachel points out Time Magazine later called it the most dangerous road in the world.

When the subject of stopping the war in Iraq and removing the troops, Condi was evasive and vague as hell meaning the Administration HAS NO intention of removal from Iraq.

On the subject of bad intelligence of WMD'S Rice's action was cowardly and expected. She made up excuses. This after numerous concerns that the intelligence was bad, concerns that went as high up as former CIA director. She neglects to mention the fact that an oil tanker for Chevron was named after her this was after Chevron was found to be in human rights violation with Nigeria.

Hmmm now Rice is involved with an administration that has also committed not only war crimes, but human rights violations, a truckload of fraud, an administration that leaked out the name of a CIA agent in retaliation, an administration that despite seeing the large thousands of dead bodies in Iraq still refuses to see the errors of their ways, an administration that launched an assassination attempt on a Venezuelan President so they could control the oil barrels in that country (the Bush Administration sure loves oil). The same administration under Bush SR. helped fund millions of dollars to Saddam Hussein to kill the Kurds and then under Bush Jr. killed Saddam for his *ahem* human rights violation, in essence typing up their own loose ends.

No Condoleeza Rice won't be remembered for anything good. She'll go down in history as another sellout and manipulator. She won't be an example for Black people to follow. She's an example of everything that represents an un-American someone who lies, steals and says things that she knows isn't true as long as ehe gets her cut of the allmighty dollar.

The storyline with Kayla, Jack and Steve was one of the best storylines days have had. People think Patch was always a great guy but he's character has done horrible things but eventually turned out for the better.

Stephen Nichols's acting is the best acting I've seen for a male star in a daytime show. People think soap operas have bad acting but Nichols's delivery of this character is not impressive but up to the level of being movie star quality.

He has been casted in not so great movies so this is one example where somebody in tv has had a greater career and reputation than doing movies.

His character is always interesting, fun to watch and always on the edge.

Well his biography says it best he gets typecats for a lot of crappy films and often big budget Hollywood flops "Color of Night", "No Escape". However, look a little deeper know and you'll notice a couple of short but memorable roles in big hits like the "Terminator", "Omen II", "The Right Stuff" and of course the role of Detective Murphy in "Dog Day Afternoon" (who ends up killing Al Pacino's partner and foiling his robbery plan).

Lance is a gifted actor whose been handed crap after crap. He's appeared in dozens of low budget horror movies a few that are watchable (The Mangler) and many that are not.

He's a great example of how Hollywood doesn't always reward the best actor. Chris Carter who did Millennium said he had only one actor in mind for the role of Frank Black from the start and that was Henriksen.

Anyways, it's too bad that at 67 years old (and nearing his twilight years) the guy still doesn't get the exposure that other lesser actors get.

While I'am not going to be overly critical she is an example of luck and the fads of the time (the 80's) to start a girl's career. Her best work came as she was teenager starring in teenybopper movies like "Sixteen Candles", "For Keeps" and "The Breakfast Club". However, like many child, teen stars as soon that time period was over, so was her career.

With the exception of Demi Moore, Rob Lowe and Andrew McCarthy, Ringwald like the other Brat Pack stars never really accomplished anything huge. She had her fifteen minutes of fame then it was gone. She's done films since then but most of them are highly forgettable.

I can't remember any of them being highly praised. It's a shame because she had potential and just seemed to be happy to get what she received. She was great in an episode of "Medium" playing a blind woman stalked by a man. However, that doesn't erase a long stale acting career. The more I look at these young actresses who could have been great, the more I realize that a couple are just satisfied with being average and making a lot of money.

I never found the guy to be anything special. In fact, Meadows is a classic example of an average SNL star. A person that although is part of the show his name would hardly come up in conversation (unlike Chris Farley, Mike Myers, Phil Hartman).

Looking at his post SNL career it looks mediocre at best. They did a movie about his "Ladies Man" character from SNL the movie failed miserable. His other movies are all forgetabble. He is not Eddie Murphy or anything like that. Ultimately, I find him to be a very forgettable personality and one of the more below average performers on SNL.

This guy is the real deal and although he doesn't get too much attention more by the big media Shandling has had a long following.

This guy is the real deal and although he doesn't get too much attention more by the big media Shandling has had a long following.

He also guest hosted for Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show back in the 80's. He's a standup comedian and always seem to be funny at the drop of a hat. He had a funny show in "It's Garry Shandling Show". Then HBO gave him a series in "Larry Sander's show" which was king of a parody of Hollywood and it's celebrities.

Seeing him on Bill Maher recently it's clear he hasn't lost his touch. Like many comedians as well he really is great with his timing. Garry is talented in comedy in just about every way you think of from performing to writing.

Anybody who hasn't seen his work and is looking for another comedy man to get into they should definitely look into Garry Shandling's resume.

Right she simply seems happy by signing her name on a paycheck and starring in a lot of average, forgettable horrible films like "The Grudge", and "The Return". Furthermore, the "Scooby Doo" movies were terrible, terrible movie. It's true they were comedies but still Sarah can do so much better. I'am disappointed in her because she's had such an early promise with stuff like "Swan's Crossing" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".
However, she's not making any effort to show us what she can do.

Star in a drama, be a gritty character or a drug addict in a movie, something. Right now she reminds me of another young actress in the same predicament, Christina Ricca. Gellar is going to turn 30 and Ricci is approachig 30 but Ricci by far has impressed with her body of work and her willigness to do provactive roles. Right now all Sarah has shown me is that she is doing this subpar movies because she's afraid to come out of her comfort zone and do a role that's really strong and outrageous.

I almost died laughing reading Hannity's comments about Bush. That should tell anybody about his lack of integrity and intelligence.

This is the same guy that one time on the radio I heard him say "we have the best healthcare system in the world"!!!

The funny part was that he was being serious!!! Best healthcare system? LMAO There's millions and millions of Americans with no insurance at all. Worst yet, insurance rates are only going higher and higher like the price of gasoline. This guy's stupidity and lack of real patriotism shine through when people who oppose the Iraqi War and Bush are described as terrorists or unpatriotic Americans. Then he goes on Foxnews and says that they are aren't bias? LMAO!!!

When the Katrina disaster happened, Hannity tried to downplay the government's incompetence in helping the people of New Orleans. This is the same guy who has allied himself with the crazy nuts out there like Anne Coulter.

Sean Hannity make no mistake about it is full of it to his nose. Watch any of his cheap attacks on the air, and on the internet and you'll see this guy's insanity and lack of professionalism.

This guy defined what a tough cop is. Franz really is one of the best actors in the business in portraying what a gritty, tough nosed, cop should be.

This guy defined what a tough cop is. Franz really is one of the best actors in the business in portraying what a gritty, tough nosed, cop should be.

Forget about the other imposters out there (Vic Mackey) Franz's portrayal came way, way before. Characters like Andy Sipowicz and Det. Sal Benedetto in "Hill Street Blues" really showed all the depths that a cop should be.

Andy was tough, gritty but could be also loving, caring and smart. Steven Boncho was smart he didn't just make this guy into an uncaring, criminal pig who abuses the badge to get what he wants. He did overboard sometimes but it's not to the absurd level that other shows do (like "The Shield") for shock value. Nope Sipowicz lost and gained partners, loved ones and through all this he really did grow as a person.

Then you take a look at Franz's work with over thirty years in the business with memorable movie roles in flicks like "Blow Out", "Dressed to Kill", and "The Fury" and it's quite a decent list of work he's done.

He's definitely the best actor in a cop drama ever and very few people really come close to him if any.

Dirty cops have been around since the earliest movies of the 30's and 50's so I'am not that impressed with his work.
Seeing as well that his character is so similar to the Dennis Franz character it's laughable to call "The Shield"...

Seeing as well that his character is so similar to the Dennis Franz character it's laughable to call "The Shield" groundbreaking. The character he plays is like an evil version of Franz's.

He's a decent actor but overrated. There's no depth to Mackey. He's a dirty cop masquerading as a father (he's had several women while allegedly loving his wife), he's killed suspect broken laws. The character is much more one dimensional and in any other show would have been killed of a long, long time ago. His resume outside of "The Shield" is not that impressive either outiside of "The Commish". Dennis Franz will always be the first really tough cop on tv with Chiklis following in his footsteps.

If anything it's an easy gig since this character is always lying, stealing and being annoying all the time.

I'am surprised the character his played has lasted so long but thus the appeal of the show is watching characters that you hate eventually get what they deserve.

Anyhow, the guy is nothing special and nothing to write home about.

He's violated the "wellness" policy of the WWE more than once yet the WWE despite their whole garbage on being serious about wrestlers healt still push him...

He was obviously on steroids and like guys like Batista and Bobby Lashley they really aren't great wrestlers and don't deserve a push.

A living example of the crap that the WWE pushes. Granted, he doesn't suck as much as the Great Khali but Masters expirement isn't going anywhere. They did put him a memorable feud with Flair and Michaels. Then he was shelved for using steroids.

When he came back, DX literally crapped over him by beating up next to a steroid (Way to depush the guy!!!).

He's got a couple of mic skills but the crowd doesn't seem to care about him. He's just a waste of space next to guys like Eugene, Jim Duggan and Lashley.
