Welcome to the continuation of SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON 2009!
Now let's get it started!
(also, here's an option to watch it in action on youtube!)
DAY 3 -
Things started off great as the Cobra team took a stroll down the Sails Pavilion...

I was actually there for a raffle. More on that later ![]()
Back down to the exhibit hall and to Capcom's booth (again!
), a guy dressed as Ken was spectating the tournament grand finale for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
He's angry Ken didn't make it into the roster ![]()

At Sega's booth, they had a booth babe that seemed somewhat familiar..... The one from E3?! And that British accent, for reals?
Well, either way, a pretty awesome person they chose. And just to the left at EA's booth was a Dead Space gal who, while didn't have as much of a flashy costume as Bayonetta, had cameras taking shots of her as well. Gals with guns are pretty popular nowadays!

After getting a bit more swag around the booths, I went back to the drop point where I met....
Carrot Top?
Just walking around casually too
Wonder what panels he went to....

and Milo from Heroes. A real a nice guy!

As hours passed by just hanging around, it was time for me to head to the signings. The raffle I mentioned earlier was for Attack of the Show signings ![]()
and here it is... Olivia and Kevin! Blair left early for some reason :/ Gosh, I remember when they were just walking through the halls with few notices in previous Comic-cons. Now they're big time TV personalities!

Late at noon I was tired going through the halls and rooms so I hung back in the drop point
Then who else of all comic book junkies would pass by other than Kevin Smith! Makes me wanna watch Zack and Miri now :/

Well that was the end of the day ....
DAY 4
The final day. A day that I though would have less crowds. Boy was I wrong
My cousins came along with me and with a packed hall and bags full of swag, things got tiring fast. The Elite convention staff weren't much of help either -__-
But we didn't get to check out some interesting stuff...

It's the Mario Bros and Bioshock too! (oooooooooh, see what I did there?)

Sweet looking batpod in of all places...the Lego booth.

After that, a bit of a lunch break at Gaslamp (or someplace in Downtown, don't really know
) at the Spaghetti Factory.
After we finished, the idea was to go see Jennifer Love Hewitt and the cast of GW, but they were still busy with their panel ![]()
So then it was on to more swag and that's when I met one of my favoite artist's of all time.... Greg Horn. I've loved his work since those early OXM covers, and now he's currently doing comic cook covers like She Hulk and Ms. Marvel. It was great news to him when I mentioned that Barnes and Nobles were selling his books. ![]()

and as Comic-con was near the end of closing, I got a chance to take some more pics. Awesome Lara and Ash!

and while I didn't see all the celebs, heres a pic a nice person shared with me before I got there. (Just don't tell my friend this, he'll rage if he knows we were only several minutes late for this >__>)

So Comic-con is over and while I can finally get a good nights rest, I thought I'd show you some stuff I got..
SWAG Quality over quantity is what I say ![]()

Autographs Olivia Munn Playboy issues were given out for free in an Ice cream truck during The Con. You can't make that **** up O___O

Stuff I bought Over 100 buck on just these >__> I've been bad....

So that's all! It's been fun and exciting, but also tiring and frustrating at times as well. But if you really want to know exactly what it's like, then go to Comic-Con!
and if this didn't excite you enough to consider about going, then.....
check out my Comic-Con 09 video to see it in action!
There has to be something you like there....
So until next year, the Comic-con blog is now over!
Well it's that time of year again! .....when people can find an excuse to dress up in costumes other than Halloween. .....when the biggest names hand out swag in their booth to market their upcoming movie, show, game and etc. ...when you get a chance to see the hottest stars, personalities and people you've seen somewhere but don't remember. .....when crowds cheer and generate hype for even the smallest of things during a panel.
It's SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON 2009!
As I have done before, I'll be showing you my perspective of what I have experienced in Comic-Con thoughout the 5 days I've been there. As just one person (with a few other), I can't show every single thing that happened there. But I think that what makes it great. Comic-con has become very big and with it's 40th Anniversary, it has come to show how much it's grown throughout the years.
Well enough of this, I won't be boring you with much text so heres The Con!
PREVIEW NIGHT -
So for preview night I decided to lay back a bit and just enjoy the sights... (knowing that walking through the exhibit hall is already tiring)
First booth I looked for was the Capcom booth with it's boxing ring platform from pervious Cons...

Community Manager and Pro Street Fighter player Seth Killian was there to run the tournaments and announcements along with other Capcom staff. Just 2 days after Evo 2009 at Las vegas, he was still full of energy.

Games shown and playable in the booth were Tatsunoko vs Capcom (great game!!), MvC2, Lost Planet 2, Dark Void, Resident Evil DC, RE4 iPhone, and some others...

oooh, and pretty prototype stick....

After playing Tatsunoko and winning a TvC towel (>__> ^__^), I headed to other booths when I saw an awsome Master Chief cosplayer with a carbine.

In the Marvel booth, there was a stage that showcased all the Iron-Man suits in the film and apparently the fourth will be the new one for Iron Man 2.

As for the DC booth, comic book artist Jim Lee was signing autographs ( I wish I had brought my All Star Batman comics
) Also in the booth was a playable Batman Arkham Asylum stand with a walkthrough guide....

oh and I believe it was the Hasbro booth that had the Bumblebee and Camaro display...

Not much else I did but get some swag on that day >__>
But wait, it wasn't even....
DAY 1
Now things got a bit more interesting....
I first had to go to a DC talent search panel (yeah, I didn't get through :lol![]()
I passed by the G4 booth where there was an awesome Slave Leia cosplayer. (I cut off the lower part since it got pretty risque, so might as well look at the internet for the full body shot. Sorry! It's GS' rules, not mines) Also there was a guy dressed as The Phantom!! Remember the Phantom? ![]()

Near the G4 booth, I heard that Alison Haislip was giving out autographs and photos. And while I probably only saw her 2 or 3 times on AotS (I don't watch much anymore), I thought I'd go for it anyway. Nice person, maybe I should try to watch AotS a bit more
Another pic similar to this can be seen on her website, alisonhaislip.com. When it's up that is.

Pulling me in like a magnet, I went back to the Capcom booth and who did I find? Producers of RE5 signing sutographs! What luck!

The EA booth was just nearby with a bunch of playable games such as Brutal Legend, Saboteur, Dead Space Extraction and Dante's Inferno.
So of all the games I played there, which was my favorite? Saboteur!! A great mix of open world enviroments w/ driving, stealth, brawling, platforming and 3rd person shooting. Wow. And they give a free WW2 lighter replica for playing the game hehe ![]()

My next visit was to the Mega64 booth. That's right, the San Diego natives who do those public video game pranks!!! For those who don't know, here's a video of their work
They were awesome to talk to! I'm glad I bought their DVD as the prank segments are funny stuff.

Ohh, and here some more awesome cosplayers, costumed booth babes, and a giant robot from the upcoming Avatar.

Later that day, I decided to go to the Dexter Panel in hopes of finding a way to meet Michael C. Hall. Unfortunately, I didn't (sorry Sammy
) But hey, the panel was great with such an interesting cast. Now I'll just have to buy Season 1.....

Right after Dexter I randomly went to another Panel. That panel happened to showcase an upcoming movie called Kick-Ass. Having read Kick-Ass myself, I sort of knew of how the live action sequences would turn out. Showing several clips and a trailer (I can't show due to Comic-con's rules
) the entire crowd cheered and gave a standing ovation. It was quite something else. It had that kind of raunchy teen comedy ****mixed in with superhero movies and the feel and action that something Quentin Tarantino would direct. Yup, this might be something to put on your radar.
Well that was the end of day one and things got even better with...
DAY 2
With my friends, I went around the exhibit hall...again -_- But hey, it was much different than day 1 and I took more pics.
One of my friends took some hilarious poses with cosplayers...

Around noon, I actually met Gametrailers/Spike tv personality Amanda Mckay with one of the devs of Dark Void.

But this is where things took a turn for the best. My friend wanted to get an autograph from Hiyao Miyazaki, so knowing where backstage is at (and a few connections this and there >__>) we just had to go and take a chance to see if we could. We were able to get in, but instead of Hiyao ( who left minutes ago, as well as MEGAN FOX
) we saw some other famous faces....
Tim Burton!

Cameron Diaz!!

Yeah, security guard sucks for pushing me back
Not the best shot I could have with a celeb ![]()

My friend may not have gotten an autograph from Hiyao, but whos to complain when you just got autographs from Tim Burton and Cameron Diaz? Yup, he left with a happy face ![]()
So as Day 2 ended, I had thought that there was no way to top that.....but I was wrong.
![]()
O__O
Stay tuned, because Days 3 and 4 are coming in the next blog!! yeah, it's that big :/
Um, yeah...so I reached level 32. Nothing special. But you know what? The users celebrate 10k posts, why not celebrate every 10 levels? Well I'm at 32, so no partay for me.
This seems like a waste of blog space, but I havent done one in a while ![]()
And for those who can get the blanks on my title, then you get my.....respect. I guess. Or ask for something, I don't know.
*Waits for Comic-Con 09*
