The darling of Paris Fashion week once again conquers and dominates the Paris shows. One has to wonder if it is possible for King Karl to do anything wrong? I would have to say no! As the Chanel ready to wear show began the auditorium looked more like a football stadium with all the hesterics of Super Bowl Sunday. The crazed fans screaming, cheering, on their feet clapping and chanting Karl, Karl, Karl!! All that was missing were the large foam fingers and the half naked men painted with half of their body in one colour and the other half in another colour; perhaps colours from the new summer pallet. Some of the key items that are trade mark at any Chanel show were their in abundance. Sumptuous fabrics, Modern tailoring that would make many Hong Kong tailor weep for the fits are works of art. Sheer draped fabrics that translated into separates, lots and lots of separates. The theme seems to be that of a celestial mood. So once more the fashion world is witness to something even greater than The Super Bowl they are witness to genius, to beauty, and to wearable art but most importantly they are witness to the brilliance that is Karl Lagerfield.
