I've got some exciting news for you. The animated adventures of Pippi Longstocking are being brought back to TV on Saturday Sept 19. I should've written this earlier, but I am preparing to contribute to the Pippi show guide. If you want to know what channel you can catch Pippi's adventures on, I'll tell you. She is coming to the Qubo channel. Her show will air on Saturdays and Sundays (every weekend). Check the schedule as often as possible in case she changes air times.
Qubo is a kids channel where most of the shows are based on books. Well, Pippi Longstocking is a popular book. I'm glad Pippi is going to join the Qubo family.
For quite some time, I have been hoping for that show to return on TV. At last, Pippi Longstocking is finally coming back on the air in the US! I wasn't quite so sure if she'd have a TV series after watching her animated movie several times. I first saw the Pippi animated film back in 1998 on Disney Channel. That was about 6 years before I discovered the Pippi Longstocking show guide and found out she did have a TV series. According to my research, it first premeered in the US on HBO Family. We couldn't afford that kind of premium channel back then. Now that she's come to Qubo, I am getting ready to make TV.com history! Pippi's guide has hardly ever been touched--so to speak. At least 20 people are tracking her, one of those users being me of course. You can say that Pippi Longstocking has gone from HBO to QBO. Hahaha!
If you look at my review for Pippi Longstocking, you will find I wrote that there will come a day when she will come back on the air. Well, she is coming back. I JUST CAN'T WAIT! Why, I even sent a letter to Nelvana (the studio in Canada who made that show) a month and a half ago asking if they were planning to bring her back. When I used the search feature for my cable service, I inputted the letters PIP. And...BRRRRING! BRRRRING! BRRRRRRRRRRRING! There she was! I guess it's their way of saying "Yes, we are bringing back Pippi Longstocking." I have even set up a DVR schedule to record every single one of her episodes.
I hope you user friends read my review for Pippi and agree with it. Let me know if you get the Qubo channel on your TV service. Comment me in this entry if possible. Boy, am I glad I switched back to cable TV.
PS: There's another show that has been brought back by popular demand: Sabrina the Animated Series. I'll save it for my next blog.

I've never really seen much of "Pippi" and never really had any interest in "Sabrina."
