Yeah I want a Wii again. Man that was a good marathon.

Damn you, MikeMoose!

However, I figure that if I get both systems simultaneously, I will enjoy and respect them at the same level of quality. Hehe, smart huh?

To do this I'm going to need approximately $1,000 after all of the extra crap like controllers, Xbox Live Gold Membership, and the games especially. Super Paper Mario, Brawl, Assassin's Creed, and... probably Halo 3 (don't worry, all of these games will be out by the time I get both systems, so it all works out) will be the games I'll get to start off. Of course, the premium system comes with Ethernet and a headset, so that saves me some money there. Supposedly it comes with a copy of GRAW as well, but that will probably change by the time I get the console. Yeah, the speculation is huge for me right now. >_>

Then of course Wii Sports will come with the Wii, which should be pretty cool. I might buy two extra controllers, one possibly being a cla$$ic, just because of the Wii's profound multiplayer atmosphere. I keep hearing that there's enough memory in the Wii itself to save files, so I'm not worried about a memory card. I would like some Wii points, however, to delve back into the sweet nostalgia of yesteryear's achievements. Anybody know if getting an online status costs money? I've heard that it's free, but that seems sort of hard to believe.

So yeah, looking at it all it's going to be a $1,000 bundle--maybe a little more. Now, if you're thinking, "Dude, you should be thinking about getting a job for more important things, like a car and college"... Well, let's just say:

1. I'm not stupid.
2. I'm totally not going to blow away all of the money I earn for games (though a fairly huge chunk--35-40% of the earnings I get after this $1000 bundle--might go to games and whatnot).
3. I still have at least 4-5 years in the house still. I got plenty of time.

On a side note, it looks really nice out. I use the linking verb "looks" because the looks are deceiving. It appears to be a normal Spring/Summer day with the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky with an uncharacteristically short breeze every so often. Weird thing is, it's 33 degrees. One degree above freezing. No clouds. Hardly any wind. Nothing but sun and rainbows at the end of the road. And yet it's 33 degrees. This is kind of pissing me off because my break ends on Monday and it's supposed to be like this all week: looks nice out but it isn't. What a shame.

I am getting a Wii. But I'm also getting a 360. I'm a manticore, dammit!
Posted Apr 7, 2007 6:42 pm PT
You got a wireless connection for you're Wii? If not then theres $40 alone.
Great choices though, I would gladly get a 360...if I had money.

I'd still get just the one, no matter if I wanted to be manticore or not... but then again, my PC gamer sense clouds my judgement once again. I'd settle for just the 360 or just the Wii, I'd hate having to balance my time between the two.

If you've got wireless internet at your house then you won't have to pay a dime to get the Wii online. But if you don't then your going to have to pay $30 to $40 on an attachment that hooks in one of the USB ports in the back that allows you to hook an Ethernet cable to it and get online. Either way you have to have DSL or Cable internet.

Cool! ^_^ It's nice to see you're getting both!

I would have chosen wii over 360 immediately But atleast you are making a bit more sense now. Just drop the 360 and we're there
Posted Apr 7, 2007 7:31 pm PT
I would choose the 360. It's a great system and it is available in abundance. I've been waiting since november for a wii and still no stores have one.

I'll be able to balance my time between the two just fine. So it looks like I won't have to pay for getting the Wii online, which is totally awesome (and Microsoft should definitely look into that possibility as well).

Sweet, you're getting both I'm good with my system.

Choose something, and stick with ti.

Hey! What about teh PS Triple?
Posted Apr 7, 2007 8:41 pm PT
I never saw this coming

Don't get a Wii... get a 360. Wii has no games, 360 has tons.

End of story.

Next stop...A job!

Good luck finding a job......Have fun with the consoles......I'm getting my (free) Wii within a month (do to all the shortages)......I am also thinking about getting Super Paper Mario...My brothers are interested in the Wii as well (since they haven't played videogames for 15 years...)...My brother says it's the bomb! (he played it in his friends house)...So, I might be excited after all...Have fun......The X360 is awesome as well...Gears of War is a must buy. Believe the hype about this game!

The 360 will probably still be the best by the time you get Wii (If you do) If you don't get a Wii you get get so many good games for the 360. I have to agree with NeoJedi on this one.

I have a 360 and loving it. But I am also planning on getting a Wii sometime tomowards the end of the year. Wii60 FTW!!
Posted Apr 8, 2007 6:08 am PT
Eh? No more "if I do's" and "if I dont's", guys. I'm getting them both at, more than likely, the same time.
Posted Apr 8, 2007 7:03 am PT
If not the same time, I would get the 360 first. There are more games to choose from.
Posted Apr 8, 2007 7:30 am PT
Woah, your getting both...
Posted Apr 8, 2007 8:57 am PT
Hey, when you get the 360, make sure to purchase a warranty as well just in case the three red lights of doom appears.
Posted Apr 8, 2007 9:18 am PT
You know, you'd be better off throwing a coin
Posted Apr 8, 2007 10:30 am PT
I borrowed a friend's Wii this past weekend. The games were novel but nothing really appealed to me. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the 360's HD graphics or Xbox Live, but I really didn't care much for Wii Sports, Rayman, or any of the other titles. I'm sure that'll change in a year or so, but for now the 360 has the best software library of the current three consoles.
Posted Apr 8, 2007 6:39 pm PT
By the way, are you going to get the PS3 sometime or is it going to be the console that you won't buy this generation?
Posted Apr 9, 2007 7:33 am PT
My uncle will probably get the PS3. I'll just get the other two.
Posted Apr 9, 2007 8:07 am PT
I would be hyped for Super Paper Mario if it was still coming to the GameCube like originally planned (damn you Nintendo). I'm not going to get a Wii just for that.
Posted Apr 9, 2007 9:50 am PT
Gift me one of your systems
Posted Apr 9, 2007 2:58 pm PT
So many consoles, soooo little time.
