As you may or may not know the 28th March at 8:30pm was Earth Hour. For those who don't know this was started in Sydney in 2007. The idea is all around the world people switch off lights at 8:30pm...obviously this means that it would have been done at different times due to time zones. I don't think switching off your lights and appliances for an hour makes that much of a difference in the grand scheme of things but as a symbolic gesture is a good idea. Certainly in my itty, bitty city (or the part of it where I live) most people didn't seem to be taking part. I did (and don't recommend marking work by candlelight but that's a whole other story, serves me right for being home on a Saturday night).

So I was wondering...Did you celebrate Earth Hour? What are you doing to save the Earth? We have an environmental focus at work so I am more aware of stuff than I used to be but some of the things that have been suggested or I've heard other people do quite frankly gross be out a little. I am not going to stop flushing the toilet or only put my bin out when it is full to the brim (I live by myself and because I recycle I don't end up with that much in my regular rubbish bin) whatever the environmental benefits. Thats just wrong. Ew..

I don't know if this is just a trend where I live or I've been oblivious to this until now but personalised number plates are really starting to annoy me. Of late I've noticed more and more of them explaining the type of car someone has ie holden, ford and the names of various 4 wheel drive type vehicles that I would have remembered if I had paid more attention. Why would someone bother doing this? If do have a cool car people are going to know by looking at it..they don't need it spelled out on the number plate. And if they can't tell from looking at your they probably don't car.

What I dislike even more are the ones telling everybody how fabulous they are such as 2cool...if you were cool you wouldn't have such a dorky number plate.

Aahhh I feel much better now. I've had a rather average day at work due to some recontinuing unresolved issues and am venting by complaining about something else completely unrelated Logical? Probably not but I do feel a whole lot better already. Apologies in advance if you have a number plate telling everyone how cool you are or what type of car you drive...please let me know if this is the case and I need to remove my foot from my mouth.

I've only just noticed the lights on...lights off thingy at the top right hand of the screen. I am much preferring lights off. Please tell me this hasn't been around for days, weeks, months etc? If I've only just noticed it must mean its new? Right?

Which do you prefer? Are the lights on or off? (I hoping that doesn't sound sleezy...)

I've had the pleasure of seeing Wil Anderson live a couple of times and have been pleased to find I hadn't already heard all his jokes - whenever I have seen him I've only ever heard a handful of the jokes before. Which is refreshing.

I was a huge fan of the Glasshouse and have seen the career of this fabulous comedian rise. I enjoyed and laughed as I saw the applause grow from lacklustre to thunderous as he became more popular on the Glasshouse. I a mistake though...I...
