Could I really call this blog a gaming update? I've gone my first week in about 2 decades without playing video games. And it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Why did I go a week without gaming? Well, it started out with me not feeling like playing any video games. I'm getting into the difficult parts of the games, and now some of these games can begin to stress you out. Gamers know that video games can be fun, stressful, and frustrating at times. Maybe I'm being sort of a coward and I'm afraid to face the final bosses of the games I have set up against me. I get really nervous when fighting final bosses. My mouth starts to dry, I sometimes sweat, and my hands start to shake. It can be very frustrating getting to a final boss and not being able to beat it. All the time and effort put into the game, and coming so far leaves you at point you can get a conclusion to a video game. It's happened to me in a few video games that I plan on going back and trying to beat eventually. I've been trying to play my video games more often, the ones that have been sitting around in my library. I'm almost done with Lost Odyssey and MadWorld. I'm half way through with Persona 3 Fes, but I guess I became burnt out from gaming. I needed a break. I was having some withdrawls during the near end of last week. I should be back to gaming this week, and hopefully I can complete a game or two.

Now there are a few games I've got my eye on, but I can't buy too many video games yet since I'm saving up for a computer, but I really want the new Ratchet and Clank: Crack In Time, and Uncharted 2 eventually. Brutal Legend and Demon's Souls have been getting a lot of hype from the press, but are they're not catching my interest much. I guess they have in a way since I'm mentioning them in my blog entry. I want to buy about 15 more video games by the time Spring 2010 hits. Final Fantasy XIII will be released, and I'm that's my most highly anticipated game. I bought a Playstation 3 thinking it was going to remain exclusive. I was probably going to buy a Playstation 3 anyways. Now it's time for the long wait. It's unfair that Japan gets that game first, but I'm going to have to deal with it.

That's it for the gaming update. Next week I hope to bring more news on me progressing further within my video games, and coming closer to completing them.

Sometimes you just need to take a break from something, even if you are passionate about it. It can be good to reset yourself and come back to it.

Yeah, maybe it's for the best.

@usagi704: Ya...I think I needed that break. Hopefully I don't prolong it. I haven't played video games so far today, and it's probably because I'm tired. @mitu123: I hope so.

At the beginning it scared me to see your update with no pictures and all... I thought it was a GS goodbye or something. BUT...
As the others said already: is good to take a break every now and then so you can avoid spoiling your gaming experience. Specially when you're facing so many tough battles at the same time.

Can't remember the last week I didn't play games, but I guess it can definitely be good for you from time to time.

@julianozuca: And that's exactly what I'm going through right now. I was thinking about playing something else, but I don't go all "ADD" and not focus on beating these games. @indzman: Thanks. @Extra_Life: Well...if it's something you enjoy doing I don't think you should force yourself to stop playing which I kind of did during the middle of the week. I just don't play video games as much as I use to. But, I would like to get into playing more.

There are times when I feel the same way too, but after taking a short break, I seem to enjoy gaming a whole lot more. And with the upcoming flurry of great games, you will get out of this funk in no time.
