Last week my birthday passed, and I was hoping to get Ratchet and Clank: Crack In Time from my parents at least. I asked for it, but they didn't get me a damn thing. I didn't get a present from any friends or relatives. So this is the first birthday this has ever happened to me. Guess I'll have to get the new Ratchet and Clank with my own money.

It's been getting harder to keep track of my progress in these games since I've been playing a lot more. Hoepfully I can remember most of what I've done. Here's my gaming update:

Persona 3 Fes I have about 20 hours left in this game according to back of the box. I'm 52 hours in. I beat one of the boss shadows. I have 3 left to kill and I will be done with the "The Journey" portion of this game. I acquired a new team member called Shinjiro. He has strong attacks, and his Persona kind of sucks since it doesn't have any strengths, but it also doesn't have any weaknesses either. I'm trying to keep the entire SEES team evenly leveled, but it's getting harder with the approaching full moon, and growing team that I try to keep track of. Plus it's getting more expensive. I don't know why I always have to keep every party member the same level in JRPGs.

I beat this game. I took me two weeks. The ending was alright. Nothing great. Although the battle at the end was fun. It only took me two tries to defeat the final boss. It seems that Ophellia's team is harder than Devilicus's. First I had to take down these two face monster thingys and then drive into his castle, fight the final boss, and then end the game. After the final boss is defeated, the land is safe, so all there is to do really is just walk around killing stuff and unlocking the rest of the achivements. I really don't feel like trying this game on the "Brutal" difficulty setting, at least not yet. I want to review this game too, but before I do that I think I should play online for a bit to see what that's like.

Mass Effect box art I decided to get back to this game since Mass Effect 2's release is coming up, and I wanted to see if I'd want the sequel or not by finishing this game. I'm totally lost within the game. I'm 13 hours into it, and I don't know what to do. I should probably head back to the Citadel and see what my next mission is, but I'm tempted to goof off and do some space exploration. So far I only talked to a few of the crew members and got a recap on the story and the aliens that are involved in this universe. I plan on finishing this game in a week or two if my skills permit me to.

I've been gaming a lot lately, and I'm proud of it. But, the problem is I don't have the stamina I once had. I can play only for an hour now and feel I need a break. I remember reading this article that you should take a 15 minute break every hour to stop the blood from pooling in your legs. But, I don't want to take breaks, and I want to be able to go on 3-6 hour gaming stints like I use to. Maybe it'll all come back with time, or maybe I'm just not into gaming as much as I use to be.

I am now a quarter of a century years old. I kind of feel old. That's a long time once if you think about it. What has happened in those 25 years? I've lived through two decades and half. I remember 90's probably being my favorite decade. I was very young, still in grammar school. Everything seemed so new and fresh. The music was great. Rap and house music was at it's prime, grunge rock music (It's like my favorite genre of rock, hopefully it'll make a comeback) had started. THe 90's was great. So, that has been the most enjoyable decade of my life. Hopefully there will be one that will top that. Let us all hope the next decade coming up next year will be awesome. Because this decade had some of the worst music I have ever heard, and it was kind of dull. Nothing really exciting happened for me besides graduating college.

What have I been doing for today? Well, I haven't received any gifts, not even from my parents. The weather outside is kind of chilly and it's raining outside. The weather sucks for today. I didn't plan anything. Didn't really want to. I decided not to play any video games today, but I'm sort of having withdraws. The NBA season starts today. My father keeps reminding me about that. He seems to be more excited about that than my birthday. Wtf? It didn't bother me too much. Just the fact that he keeps brining it up. And I don't really give a damn about basketball unless the Knicks are doing good.

Well, gamespotters, see you around gamespot. Hope today you have great day because it's my birthday.

Last week was a great week of gaming for me. I haven't played so much since I played Final Fantasy XI. And I'm happy about it. I want to play video games more. Let's hope this doesn't affect my life adversely. I know how gaming can get in the way of other things in life. Well, it shouldn't. I have an inactive social life, and no girlfriend to spend time with so I got plenty of free time outside of work. Maybe too much left over for video games. Here's the update:

Brutal Legend Box Art I put about 10 hours total last week into this game. It's not as short as I thought it would be. I think I'm on my last mission.
***SPOILER***

I probably have about an 2 hours left in the campaign. After I beat it on the "Normal" difficulty setting I'm wondering to have to play the game entirely over on "Brutal" to get the Legend achievement. The game isn't that hard. The RTS events were easy to get use to. I don't know much about RTS being this is my first time ever experiencing a RTS, but it seems very simplistic. I was surprised this type of game would have such gameplay. I was expecting more of a hack n slasher, but it actually requires a bit of strategy, and not just quick reflexes.

Persona 3 Fes box art I didn't play this game until the end of the week since I've been too busy with Brutal Legend. I have been playing this game for a long time now. I'm about 47 hours in and I have about 23 hours left in the game (The Journey). I want to finish this game so I can eventually move onto Persona 4. I know the Persona 4 universe is probably seperate from Persona 3's, but I want to finish this one up first. Plust there's the additional content in the "Fes" version. That's another 30+ hours. As far as my progress goes in the game I acquired a new team member for SEES. His name is Ken Amada and is HP is very low. He's just a kid so it's understable. I don't know if I'll use him in the next boss fight or not.

That's it for this week's gaming update. I only played two games last week. Both games kept me fairly busy. I'm just trying to figure out which games I should play next. I'm playing more now, and the games aren't going to last as long as they used when I was in a gaming rut. Maybe I should play Demon's Souls next? I just recently purchased the deluxe edition. It was hard to find, but I was able to get it.

majadamus must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could majadamus possibly have for not rating a single film?
