American Flag

Hello fellow gamers. It's the 4th of July. I'd like to start off this blog entry by saying that I hope all of you stay safe during your traveling, and have fun at your parties. I won't be engaging in such activies since I'll be working and sleeping most of this Independence Day. I also want to say how proud I am to be an American. It's the best country in the world, and I plan to live and die here. Probably the only part of the United States I don't like is the southern states, but that's okay, the west coast and the northeastern states make up for it. I could go into detail as to why, but I'd turn this blog into a political rant/debate. So, I'll just try and to stay on topic about the games. I've been playing video games more often recently by gaming for 2-5 hour stints a day. Looks like I'm getting back to my normal self again. Here's this week's update:

Persona 3 Fes Picked up this game again this week, and I'm about 17 hours into the game so far. I know I have a long way to go, and I really want to at least get close to finsihing this game before I move onto Persona 4. The game is not easy. I got another full moon approaching fast, and I need to level up my party so they'll be strong enough to fight another difficult boss. I've reached the 36th floor and I'm near the boss that seems to be close by as well. I tried leveling up my party, but Junpei and Yukari both became tired and ill. Now, I'm worried my party might not be strong enough to take on the next boss of the full moon. I will try to level them up again before my next big battle.

FFT Finally, I got past this stage where I had to fight a horde of monks, and rangers (I think that's what they're called in FFT). I've been stuck on that stage for months. I fought against a regular group of monsters before going into battle unprepared with a low level party. Final Fantasy Tactics is hard. Maybe it's because I'm just not use to playing these types of games. SJRPGs are tough to me. I've been having a tough time with other ones like Disgaea. Maybe I should play them more often. It seems I have to do a bit leveling before I am able to move on within the story. Either that or I just suck.

Final Fantasy Chronicles I got farther in Chrono Trigger after defeating a boss in this underground hideout. Now I'm on my way towards Lab 32. I got a key that will allow me to ride a speeder bike. I couldn't get through before since robots kept blocking me. Maybe this bike will allow me to get through them.

Lost Odyssey The party is still seperated, however, Jansen, Ming, Mack, and Cooke have teamed up again. Also I got two new party members to join Seth. I wonder why I'm getting these party members so late in the game. I've been playing on the 3rd disc for quite some time too. I'm just trying to finish up this game. I've been playing it forever it seems.

Street Fighter IV Akuma is unlocked. It took me a while to figure out how. I read the instructions on gamefaqs.com, but they were wrong for a while therefore I was trying to unlock Akuma for a while. Anyways, I played as Akuma for a bit, and it was a lot of fun. Although his attacks are very strong, he doesn't take hits very well. And he seems smaller than Ken and Ryu for some reason. Now, I need to unlock Seth and Gouken next.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl I still have been playing online, but not as much as I use to. Been playing this game for about 5 months now, and it's starting to get finally get stale. I typically play as Marth, and when I come against somebody who plays as Marth also I am often the first to contest him or her in test match. I got my ass handed to me by this other Marth user yesterday though. I'm usually the better one, but that wasn't the case that time.

That's it for this gaming update. See you guys around gamespot, or maybe in an online match. Later.

And I must say it was proabably one of the worst movies I've seen in quite some time. The fight scenes were spectacular though as Optimus Prime gave an ass whoopin to several Deceptions. It seemed as though Optimus Prime was too powerful to give an even ratio between the two opposing factions of Transformers. He whooped Megatron's ass like it was no problem while in other series like Beast Wars and the original Transformers they were evenly matched. If it weren't for the special effects and the well designed Transformers that were animated beautifully I would've walked out the moment Sam Whitiwiki and his girlfriend got into the trite, and the cliche dialogue between boyfriend and girlfriend that you see in most movies. Basically they each were questioning their love for one another. Although I didn't enjoy the movie overall, it still had it's good moments. Soundwave and Devastator made an appearance in the movie. Which made my inner five year old jump for joy in the theater. I was glad to see Starscream again.

Is it worth paying to see?

Unless you're a hardcore geek like me who just want to see their animated faves they saw as a child from the 80's in live action, I suggest skipping it. It was painful sitting through bad dialogue, and the boring storyline. The first one was better. Go watch something else.

Here's my weekly update, and the only game I've been playing is:

Final Fantasy Chronicles

I just exited Lab 16 and now I've entered this sewer which I'm sort of stuck in. I had to fight this giant bug that takes away all your health except for 1 health point. Those who play JRPGs know what I'm talking about. It's an annoying move that makes you use up all your magic and hp restoring items for health recovery. I wasn't expecting such a difficult boss, well, it really wasn't a boss. It was a regular monster. JRPGs aren't as difficult as they use to be it seems. I had to quit the game and get prepared for work, so I didn't bother trying to get out of the sewers. Maybe I should level up my party, but the problem is there aren't any towns where I can refill my hp items.

Until next time, gamers.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like majadamus.
majadamus must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could majadamus possibly have for not rating a single film?
