It's been over 5 months now and I'm finishing up my 6 month tour of Iwakuni Japan. I'm very excited. As you can see, I'm posting when I should be in bed. It's 0015 here, that's midnight plus 15 minutes for all of you. ![]()
Three more weeks and I will be back in the loving arms of my wife!!! I can't wait. We have talked at least twice a day since I've been here but we still miss each other immensely. I can't wait to get home and hold my baby girl. She has gotten so big and I'm looking forward to every minute that I will be home.
The best thing about going on deployment, vacation, or traveling is coming home to a family that loves you and misses you. I hope all of you get to experience that in your lifetimes!
Semper Fidelis.

Today was my first day back to work, at least it was just a half a day of work.
I went to Tokyo and climbed Mt. Fuji this past Thursday. Took me quite a while, about 6, 6.5 hours to get up there. I took alot of pictures and will post them on my myspace page if you would like to see. By the way, since you're going to be on myspace, why not join me as a friend there and then start playing some of the cool games they have. I like them and they get quite addicting. Mafia Wars, Pirates, and Dragon Wars are the Apps you need to add. They are basically all the same game, but they're still addicting.
So after Mt. Fuji, we (our group) went to Disneyland Tokyo for the day. It felt great being a kid again, riding rides, eating junk food...well, junk food by Japanese standards. It's kind of small compared to Anaheim and Orlando but it was still a great time.
The last day there a few of us went to the shopping district, Ginza and the electronics district, Akihabara or Akiba for short. We only went to one store there. It was the size of an entire city block. 8 stories tall full of electronics, tvs, appliances, stereos, video games, cell phone stuff, photography, models, toys, games, puzzles...just a whole ton of stuff. We must have spent 6 hours in the place. It was awesome.
Well, now I'm back and recovering, doing laundry, and sorting out the souvenirs, gifts, and stuff I got in Tokyo. Just thought I would share. If you ever get a chance to go to Tokyo, bring at least $1000 to have big time fun. ![]()
