My Tips for Person Submissions, Official Person Guidelines
Hi guys!
Thank you all for being so awesome, you made my anniversary really special!! You really know how to party, especially given the flood of anniversaries around that time. So many joined in June like I did. 
Next time, I might start another blog series but this is just an interim blog with me enjoying that there is nothing I have to finish off, for a change. I will be introducing a new blog column, though.
On another note, I think I'll be gone for a while in about a week or two. It will be a lot of work but also fun and I might spend some days in the technological stone age (my parents' ). I won't be around as much, if at all, and I feel better letting you guys know. So don't be surprised, OK? 
What I've Been WatchingI watched very little actually and that's quite alright for a change... But some notable stuff, anyway, couldn't call myself a geek otherwise, could I? I'll make it quick, a lot has already been said.

True Blood
I am enjoying it more than ever this season and I will watch the new episode tonight. Can't wait. Couldn't be more happy about Lafayette of course and I really wish Bill was a little hotter to me. 
Burn Notice
I love this season so far! When the second season started, I remember being a little underwhelmed but this season started out great and I have high expectations.
Nurse Jackie
A cable show to my liking. Jodie recommended it and I was so reluctant about another medical show. Still, very intriguing...
Star Trek
We went to see the new movie and I LOVED it. Wow, I only heard good but it was still a surprise how much I enjoyed it. They reinvented the Franchise so well... And Spock as a child? And Leonard Nimoy? He had a much bigger part than I expected him to have, and I loved every bit of it. I am even considering to rewatch some of the original series, now. I caught bits on pieces on tv but I have never seen it undubbed.
They really got me hooked and I was only lukewarm in regard to Star Trek movies, so yay! I am with Sheldon, btw, there is no one nearly as important as Spock.Finding Nemo
I know, I am a couple of years late and I had to watch it all on my lonesome because I don't know anyone who hasn't seen it. 
Very cute! It might come in walking distance of Monster Inc. and Ratatouille as my favorite animation films... But then again, I don't know too many. As you might notice, I have seen it just in time for this year's Memmys. Which is a perfect transition to promote Mack's blog:

Anyway, I am linking opening credits again. This mention is well deserved, though, because I couldn't have been more psyched to hear these tunes again. The credits as a whole fit so well to the tone of the show and I love how artsy they are. Still, some of the visuals creep me out, as they are supposed to, I guess.

The Odd Show of the Blog
Party Down
I thought, once in a while, I might promote an odd show that I came across. Totally special taste, mind you, but that's why it gets to be in the "odd show" column. This time it's Party Down. I stumbled over a quick mention of that show in Mack's blog and it caught my attention because it has Ken Marino. I loved him, both as the sleazy PI in Veronica Mars and the gay demon in Reaper, remember him?
Well, I will continue watching but the show has some flaws. If you consider watching it yourself, you might enjoy the following ramble about pros and cons.
Show and Actor Info
The show just wrapped up its first season (10 episodes, about 30 minutes long) and one of its producers is Rob Thomas, who also produced Veronica Mars. It's completely different from VM but it also feels like a reunion sometimes, with Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, and Kristen Bell in memorable guest spots. You might also recognize (left to right) Martin Star (Bill Haverchuck on Freaks and Geeks), Ryan Hansen (Dick on Veronica Mars), Lizzy Caplan (Jason's girlfriend Amy on True Blood), Adam Scott (Palek on Tell Me You Love Me, another underappreciated show in my book), and Jane Lynch, who is apparently famous but was completely unknown to me. She will be on Glee, next season, though.
The Good
I selected three very short clips to give you a quick impression whether you could like this show. All are from the first two episodes, so really no spoilers to worry about. I tried to get Daria to watch it but she didn't even make it through the first two minutes. I am well aware that this show is hardly for everyone. So here is the Daria-Test for you. This is the very beginning of the show, Ron's (Ken Marino's) motto for his Party Service: 45-second-linkage.
Still with me? The show is a dramedy about a team of caterers who host a new party in every episode. Only Ron takes the job seriously and all of them have higher aspirations. Watch how Henry and Casey (Adam Scott and Lizzy Caplan) get to know each other to understand their lives: 1:10 minute linkage. The Bad
There is something that, IMO, is a little overdone in Party Down. A lot of the humor draws from slapstick, sexual innuendo, and bad taste. While this is sometimes very funny, it also made me want to punch the tv from time to time. You see some jokes coming from a mile away and I am not drawn to peeing-in-my-pants or masturbation-humor. I think it improved in this regard, though, and I have high hopes for next season.
In Sum
I didn't love it from the start, it took me about two episodes to grow fond of it but something kept me interested nevertheless. As I mentioned, I wasn't too thrilled with some scenes, in fact it took me the longest to like Ken Marino's character, even if he was the reason I tuned in in the first place. Some jokes are still not my cup of tea but I see potential. I like the bitter and dry humor of this show and I can really relate to those losers. The show had me smiling pretty often and even laughing out loud on occasion. Not without a very odd feeling of sadness afterwards, though, which I think is a cool compliment.
Photoshop and Me
Not much to tell, I haven't been making many icons. I tried my luck with Dexter though, so here are some I haven't linked so far. No need to check the PB-account this time, not much to see.
If you would like to snatch them, feel free. And in case I can be of any help with any of your icons or a particular scene, let me know. Many of you guys are far more skilled, I just wanted to put that offer out there. I really like my Photoshop after all.

Do you know these parties where the host pulls out the slide projector? I know it doesn't really fit but just a short update. Photoshop and me, we are still happy and I love that Daria is doing a tutorial blog series! I have mainly made icons for The Big Bang Theory and I still post stuff in the public Photobucket account. Also, I love comments on the pictures, here or in Photobucket.
