Sorry! I know that I promised that I would be on Tv.com more often in the summer, but I haven't because I have been trying to limit my use on the computer this summer. Last summer I went crazy and spent almost all day on here and watching my DVDs. This summer I decided to re-read all my books, and not burn my eyes out using the computer. Well, I have finally finished all my books, so now I think it's time to let myself back on the computer.

Most of the books I read this summer were mysteries especially by my favorite authors; J.D. Robb, Mary Higgins Clark, Carol Higgins Clark, Eoin Colfer, Sidney Sheldon and Julie Garwood. Have any of you read books by these authors? What did you think?

Emmy nominations were released a while ago. I'm just going to comment on the ones I was surprised by. I was very happy to see Jim Parsons from the Big Bang Theory get nominated. I don't get to watch his show very often, since it's on the same time as Chuck, but I do catch it sometimes, especially the re-runs in the summer. I have tried watching online, but I can only watch clips. Does anyone else have this problem?

Also, How I Met Your Mother was nominated for best comedy, which is a first. Neil Patrick Harris was nominated for Best Supporting Actor. With Jeremy Piven out of the race, I think this is finally his year!!

Most of you probably already know this, but Mackymacaspac is holding his annual Memmy Awards. If you haven't voted already please go vote

I'll be on here more regularly now that my summer reading is done. I hope everyone is doing well.

Reading is always a good excuse. I went through a period several years ago when I read every Mary Higgins Clark I could find at the library. I read mystery's from time to time, but nothing lately. I agree that NPH should win this year. That category is full of good choices.

Hi there. Yay for reading! I looooove Eoin Colfer and I'm addicted to the Artemis Fowl series. Have you read them? I'm hoping Jim Parsons wins. He's with some stiff competition though.

Hey, Madison.

Glad to hear that you're having a nice summer. That's a great thing to take a break from the computer, especially since you'll probably have to be back in front of it a lot for college. Are you looking forward to the academic year?

Have a great rest of the week!

IndianaMom: I decided that if I couldn't get a job, I should at least do something productive this summer I enjoyed re-reading my books, but I think I need some new ones because I know how all of them end. Mary Higgins Clark is the first mystery writer I ever read, and she's probably my favorite. I think I've read all her books. NPH is way overdue for his Emmy. He has been one of my favorite actors since HIMYM premiered.

xlovedust: Yay reading! Yeah, the Artemis Fowl books are my favorites. I'm interested to see if they do make a movie about them, because I've heard rumors that they are making one. I would love to see an Artemis Fowl movie. Yeah, Jim's category is full of great actors. It would be great if he could pull off the upset

Karlmezaros: Hey Karl This summer has been relaxing, and a nice change of pace from school. Last semester I had to do all my Chemistry homework online, along with English, so I did spend a massive amount of time on the computer. But with no English this year, and Geology instead of Chemistry, I will have more free time. This semester should be good since I am taking classes I like, and 4 with my roommate. Have a great day

I would love to see an Artemis Fowl movie too! I always picture Artemis as Klaus in The Series of Unfortunate Events (the picture on the covers, not the actor) so it would be interesting to see who would be cast as him. I also picture Butler as Michael Clarke Duncan even though Butler is Eurasian, I believe. What about you?

I do think that the guy on the cover does look like Artemis. There are only a couple of people who could play Butler. Michael Clarke Duncan is one of my favorite actors so I would love him as Butler

Hi Mad! I can't believe I missed leaving a comment. I only know Eoin Colfer (I've read the first five Artemis Fowl books) and Sheldon (read most of those a long time ago). I know they're making a movie for Artemis Fowl. Can't wait for that to come out. I hope Parsons wins! Thanks for the Memmys mention. The results will come out in a few days.

Macky: I've only read the Artemis Fowl books, but they're some of my favorites. I really hope the movie is good. Most book to movie adaptations I've seen haven't been that great. Looking forward to the Memmys results!
