As many of you know I've never really been much of a Windows guy since Vista had all, but made me hate Windows even more since Vista was clunky, started up slow, had to much ad ware, and generally sucked. A few weeks ago I was able to get my hands on the full version of Windows 7 Professional. Now you're probably asking how could I get my hands on a copy of Windows 7 when its not suppose to be released until tomorrow? Since I'm in college and I'm taking Computer Repair I also belong to the MSDN Academic Alliance which is run by Microsoft themselves and they offer us free software and since I was dying to get my hands on a copy of 7 I did and I must say I'm surprised by 7.

Since my PC is not all the new and all. Its from 2004. So it couldn't run 7 all that good, but lucky I had another good candidate and that would be my Macbook and thanks to Bootcamp I installed Windows 7 and I almost take everything bad I've said about Windows. Windows 7 is actually the most stable version of Windows running since XP and that's saying a lot. They streamlined 7 and made it all about speed and performance. It shows as 7 doesn't take very long to boot up at all on my Macbook. Surprisingly I found out that Apple doesn't yet support Windows 7 for bootcamp, but yeah I installed in on there with no problem.

I don't really have anything bad to say about 7 its great and works a whole lot better than Vista because they got rid of all the crap that made Vista a headache and it functions just like Vista should have done in the first place. If only Vista could have been this stable. I don't get those little pop ups every few minutes for opening up something that could threaten my system and thanks to the new action center on 7 it makes it easier to ignore these stupid threats. As well its less of a resource hog and doesn't take that up that much RAM and works quieter. I haven't run into a problem yet where it makes my Macbook freeze up.

In other words if you've been using Vista for sometime, do yourself a favorite and get rid of Vista as soon as possible and upgrade to 7 as it will be less of an annoyance to your computer and you'll be glad that you did. Usually I'd breakdown and start saying a lot of stuff why it doesn't work, but for once Microsoft has actually made a good system that doesn't screw up. Way to go Microsoft! I know for once I'm not ridiculing Windows for being a bad system.

Oh yeah. I just realized that it's going to be released tomorrow cause I had other things going on and it just came up. Wow. I still have an XP. Do you recommend I upgrade or stick with XP seeing as how you said they're about the same in performance?

Vista was a pain in the ***. I have heard a lot of good things about W7. I myself cant wait to get my hands on it. After vista, I really turned my attention toward Apple, since it was better.

@kalrikh: Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed reading my thoughts on Windows 7 and I didn't really override Mac OS X on my Macbook. I give Windows 7 a separate partition to run on and don't worry you'll enjoy it.
@shadowchronicle: Yes it stomps Vista into dust.
@Domovsky: Well if your computer can handle it then yeah go ahead and upgrade its well worth it.
@reo-117: Yeah you'll be glad once you get 7 its much better than Vista.
@Colmillios: Na its okay, I wouldn't expect you to know a lot about this since its what I work with in college and your husband is making the right decision by getting 7.
@Mario_sonic_man: Well maybe you should ask your mom and dad about upgrading to 7.
@BlazikenTails64: Yeah I still adore Windows XP myself.
@Kaito_Deadman: Well if you do decide to upgrade to 7 its well worth it.
@pigfish2: Yeah I know, I wish they would have learned it the first time.
@code305: Yeah I know it was a pain in the @$$ and I hope you have like 7 a lot better than Vista. I know I do.
@aChaChaCha: Well that's a good thing.

@Naomz: Trust me once you upgrade to 7 you'll never want to go back to Vista and thanks I'm glad you like it.
@marceleleco: Yeah its worth the money if you want to upgrade.
@jahan25: Yeah its a heck of a lot faster than Vista.
@TristanH12: Of course I own a Mac! Why wouldn't I? Yeah once you get 7 you'll like it much better than Vista.
@hank_101: I'd say 7 is pretty much what Vista should have been.
@rjgamefreak: You'll be glad that you did upgrade.
@pecan50: I'd say its about on equal terms with XP, but if you like flashier graphics and a better desktop then 7 is much better.

Mac approves of Windows 7!

...

Never thought I'd see the day.

I'm going to get a new PC with Windows 7 pre-installed so there's no need to for me to rush out and buy a copy of Windows 7. I'm glad they got of bloatware like Windows Calendar and Windows Photo Gallery. Both really bad pieces of software that just took up too much memory. I hated the little thing that popped up, even if you just tried to rename a folder. Thankfully, like you said, you can stop this thanks to Action Centre. I've been running the Windows 7 RC on my 4 year old PC and it works better than it did on XP. Thumbs up to Microsoft!

@MexicanWalrus: You're right I approve of 7 and you're not seeing things either.
@dan_scfc: I know I'm so glad they got rid of the bloatware and crap. I'm glad Microsoft learned from their mistakes of Vista.
@hi_im_dave: Yes and I've already got a full copy of it.
