Hi folks.

After a recent exchange with one of my fellow Gamespot friends (thanks johnsteed7!), I decided to start blogging again and actually keep the blogs available on my profile. For those who haven't been friends with me for long, I've had the nasty habit of deleting them after a couple of days.

That being said, here are some quick updates on what's been happening, mostly from a gaming perspective.

- Vin Diesel double feature: I've recently purchased Wheelman and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena for 360. I started playing Wheelman which is a lot of fun to play. I'm also eager to try Riddick because I never got a chance to play it on the original Xbox. Riddick not only incorporates an HD version of the orginalbut it also has the sequel...2 games for the price of 1.

- About a month ago, I got a great deal on a PS3 with an 80gb drive($250 CAD) and it had hardly been touched (waiting for 360 fanboy jokes here). I have to say, I'm really enjoying this system. The 360 is my primary gaming machine but on the odd occasions when I don't feel like being sociable in my gaming or want to play a PS3 exclusive, I'm psyched about having it as an option. This is the first time in my gaming history that I've owned two current generation systems.

- Playstation 3 exclusives that I really enjoy: Killzone 2, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Infamous and of course, Metal Gear Solid 4.

- PS3 dashboard is pretty straightforward to use. The PSN Store is awesome! The PS3 to play online with friends...not so good! Nothing matches XBL for the online community.

-The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray is the best movie! The best, Jerry...the best!

- Speaking of Batman, I've preordered Arkham Asylum for 360. I can't wait to play the full game as I really enjoyed the demo.

-Recently played and finished LOTR Conquest which was surprisingly fun despite the average scores... My review will be posted in a few days.

I hope you're all doing well.

This message will self-destruct in....oops! Nope, not anymore. More blogs to come...

Cheers!

You bought a PS3? Hahahahahaha!!! What a waste of money!

I also preordered Arkham Asylum, which is pretty rare for me. I usually don't preorder games.

Aside from some exclusive downloadable games, have you found anything unique at the Playstation Store that you can't get on XBL?

the Dark Knight is GOLD!
Now how about a nice meal at Mendes?

Well I'm astonished...that johnsteed actually influenced you in a positive manner. Did hell freeze over? Nah, good for him and I agree with him...good to see you back to blogging.

I also enjoyed the Arkham Asylum demo and am getting it for the 360 rather than PS3, even though it has the Joker DLC.

So why _do_ you delete your blog posts? Just curious.

Oh and I don't think the PS3 is a waste of money, I even bought two so they could keep each other company!

I had no idea they had a HD version of the Chronicles of Riddick, thats cool. Oh yeah the Dark Knight is great on Blu-ray but there are a few others good on Blu-ray also. You sure are a 360 fan, i gotta admire people who still luv that system after all the break downs it's had. Not worth the trouble for me. Well keep the blogs coming dude. C-ya.

@kingrich06 - never! The wii doesn't cater to the type of games that I enjoy. @johnsteed7 - What I love about the PSN store is that I find many of the downloadables are less expensive than XBL. Plus, I'm not forced to buy points that I don't need (like on XBL)...I actually pay for the content I need to purchase. There is a lot of exclusive content like the original Resident Evil, original Metal Gear solid, Mortal Kombat II arcade and numerous PS1 and PSP games that you can download for as little as $4.99 CAD.

@ebbderelict - Does a soup and sandwich qualify as a meal?

@MsCortana - despite his sarcastic blogs about the job and the general public, johnsteed7 is a very positive soul.

@Elk - I wasn't getting many comments on my previous blog posts so I figured that no one was reading them. But you know, for you fine folks, I'll keep them on and continue blogging.

You'll be surprised how many people read blog posts but don't comment. Try doing a roll call blog post and get everyone to sound off their name

soup and sandwich does count and it makes a great meal

what will not self - destruct?

Hallo! ::waves squarely:: Popped in to say hi, mainly due to a comment in Steed's blog. But also - don't delete your blogs! People occasionally like to read back a bit to find out more about you, and it helps give you a larger presence on GS when you have a rich history.
