Wow. It's about stinking time I updated this blog I guess. So I'll just get straight to the point: Fanboy muppets - get a life.
What is wrong with you people? Some of the things I read on this website alone are shocking. The lengths you will go to just to "prove" that your choice of console is the best. In the last few months I've seen racism, VIOLENT THREATS IN CAPITALS, talk of ****ing yo' momma, every possible permutation of a flame attack, and most importantly the most narrow-minded and irrational opinions ever expressed about a freakin' digital device.
Go visit a forum dedicated to the discussion of any other consumer electronic device. Go. Now.
Did you see anybody fighting over their favorite make and model of Television? No. You didn't.
The fact of the matter is, you - as an average fanboy - have no idea of the complexities behind any one of the current consoles. You can not possibly claim that the Xbox360 "sucks balls" or the Wii "is for gay kidz" or the PS3 is"an overpriced piece of sh..." because, actually, they are all totally awesome. They are up there with the other pinnacles of human achievements. They are hugely complicated pieces of kit. And you know it. You wouldn't even be here otherwise.
Do you even know what you are arguing for? I strongly suspect that most of you haven't even touched your "rival" consoles, so how can you possibly claim any ground in such an argument?
Also: could you do any better? You think the Wii is a stupid idea - then come up with a better one. You think the Xbox360 is too unreliable - then build a better one. You think the PS3 will fail because it will lose all its good exclusives - then create a brilliant exclusive.
What's that? You can't do any of them things? Well what's your point then?
You people just contribute to this wholly immature image that the Video-Games Industry sustains in the public eye. You same people will vehemently rant about Jack Thomson or The Daily Mail or the BBFC when thy dare to oppose your precious games. But a large part of the reason why these establishments look upon video-games as nothing more than "kids toys" is really quite simple:
A significant portion of you can't help but act like kids.
