Week 5s team are from Belfast & like the previous teams they look like a motley bunch, well these reality shows wouldn't be much without conflicting contestants for entertainment value. First host was Rosemary, a doctors wife & slimming queen, who's reformed dietary intake reflected her menu with it's supermarket brand style descriptions like good-for-you & sin-free. Her starter Frozen Salad, so called because it contained frozen peas garnished with turkey rashers, sounded disgusting. But her pork & mash main course was alright considering she served it using a hostess trolley, just the thing for cremating those cooked vegetables. Hostess trolleys aside Rosemary had a sense of humour to melt the ice & show herself to be a great hostess. Marty, this episodes most cynical entrant, is the next host. I wonder if he'll surprise us?

Day 3 & Colin, a linguistics lecturer & dullard, served a turkey main course called Belfast beef surprise. His menu was probably better than Rosemary's low-cal offerings but it wasn't the best either.

Day 4 & hair stylist John served an pancetta wrapped cheese & asparagus starter(Rosemary got a low fat version) and a prama wrapped monkfish main course(Colin got the largest portion). Dessert was chocolate mousse(again!) this time using a recipe I suspect was borrowed from Jamie Oliver. The ever thoughtful John stocked on plenty of alcohol (champagne, beer, wine, sambucca & tia maria) to keep his guests happy, especially tomorrow's host Caroline. Fortunately she suspected something & will probably serve a hangover free dinner.

Day 5 saw Caroline put up with a lot of cat-calling from John, this once jovial guy has know come across as being a complete sh!t, resulting in her under-cooking the main course of turbot. Her starters were carrot & tomato soup plus prawns with guacamole. For desserts was a coconut & treacle tart. Caroline had managed to take home last nights chocolate mousse from Johns & presented it to him after the main course. Unfortunately the weeks scores showed John to have the most points & he scooped the £1K prize.
