After seeing your title today (and knowing the type of pseudo-Confucius entries you ahve) I thought you were going to say "Why do you park in a driveway and drive on a parkway."

That's nothing. My friend lives in a circular city. He's never been out of town. Everywhere he goes is the end of the street, and the beginning of the same street all over again.
