I must say, Halo 3 is an awesome game. Sure, there are plenty of you out there that think it sucks, or would rather play COD4, but what can happen in Halo 3 is like no other game out there. First, let me give you a short rundown of what I do in Halo 3 compared to most.

For one, I prefer custom games. My level hasn't gone up in months, and I've gained about 5 exp in the past 3 months. Custom games, according to b.net, now number 3300+. Coming to a grand total of 4000+. The main reason I play custom games all the time is due to the group I'm in which has had the opportunity to be on Bungie Favorites for two, one week submissions. I had a total of 6 pieces of content on Bungie faves thanks to this.

The Group I'm in is called, HaloTracks. Many a Halo player has heard of HaloTracks, and played our gametype at least once. Since Early November, I have participated in HaloTracks enough and risen to become the #3 within a group of 3000. (#3 is the highest a member can go.. Unless a co-founder left).

But let's get to my point in this whole blog entry. On Halo 3, I am what people like to call, a "Professional Lobby Sitter." This term means that I tend to sit in lobbies for hours on end doing absolutely nothing gameplay related. What does happen in the lobbies though is connection. This may sound odd to many people, but through Halo, many people that I know of have Forged (no pun intended) emotional relationiships, compared to gameplay relationships. I am not sure how an emotional relationship is formed EXACTLY, but it goes something along the lines of this. You meet the person, you friend them, you play with them more and more, eventually you're sitting in lobbies with that one person, you talk about halo, you talk about personal stuff, real world stuff, and then comes the political views... etc... Sure, you can't actually meet the person, and you may never know exactly who they are. But, because you can't see their face, you end up becoming friends with their personality. The thing that really matters.

Halo 3 is one game that I believe a person can forge the emotional relationships. It's hard to explain to someone else, but once you know you can call that person your friend, you will understand. With one person, he even dubbed me his "Xbox Live Brother." Corny, but awesome.

The one thing that can completely destroy these relationships can be, seeing the persons' face, or even knowing their actual name. Avoid it. It may take a serious blow to the whole connection thing, but you will eventually forget.

Halo 3 is not just about the gameplay AT ALL for me, the relationships are what keep me going back every day onto that game and doing what I do best. Lobby sitting.

Recently (this morning to be exact) I went out to go wait in some form of line for 4 and a half hours until the store opened at 10. So upon arriving at 5:30am there was already a line formed. A line consisting of 15 people for the 15 consoles arriving. Dissapointed, I left. -,- My other "adventures" in getting a Wii involve, waking up at 5 am on black friday to wait in front of a target that didnt have any, calling everymorning for the next 5 days and heading out to "check", getting offered to buy a ticket off of some random guy for 150 dollars that would allow me to buy a Wii. And most importantly, waiting outside a Best Buy on launch day, just to be the 5th person behind the last person to get a Wii.

My Wii-Antics though have raged on. From explaining the huge amount of possibilties of the Wii to a microsoft driven friend and a playstation driven friend, to buying the Wii-mote and Nunchuk (and LOZ twilight princess ) before obtaining the console. Did I mention that I hate ebay for not making a console availble for purchase that is under 350!? Even though its not Ebay's fault... I still blame it.

So, apparently I have heard that my city will become more "saturated" with Wii's within the next week or so... ( I hope its true ) So I'm hoping that maybe I will get one before christmas... Not trying to be too hopeful. So I gotta say to all you Wii Fans out there, If you dont get a Wii before christmas, I feel sorry for you, and that it's your own fault for not going that half hour earlier or spending those extra $50 to purchase one.  And that until you get one, you should spend your time playing Halo on your computer or Gears of War with your friend who actually owns a 360.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like locoskier77.
locoskier77 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could locoskier77 possibly have for not rating a single film?
