GO PACK GO
my name is David, long for Dave which no one calls me. I'm 16 years old and was born and raised in wisconsin. though you may think wisconsin is a punch of dairy farmers, i'm sad to inform you that i have never once lived 10 miles from a farm. my gaming life started when i was 8 years old chrismas morning, i opened up my gifts from santa and in those gifts i got a nintendo 64, i also got goldeney 007, qb club 99, kobe bryant nba courtside, donkey kong 64, super mario 64, and probably some other junk. so at the time i had a n64 but never knew anything about the gaming world considering i was only 8. a few years went on and a few inches taller, i was now probably 11 or twelve years old now and it was my birthday. i didnt know whether to get a playstation 2 like all my friends or a xbox like no one had. i really wanted an xbox because i thought the games delta something (air combat) and nfl fever 2002 would be fun games. as you can tell i am still corpural noob at video games. anyways, i finally give into my friends and get a playstation 2, i also remember getting ncaa football 2003 with it. ( i guess you could say i really didnt know any good games or what a good game even was).
fast forward a few years after that to when i'm 14 years old. i dont know what it was but i think i might have been flipping through the channels and i see the E3 2005 expo, i watched the entire thing of it and can only remember 1 thing, the Playstation 3! and i can honestly say that since that point on, i lived for the ps3, i mean i was on my computer and watching tv daily to see anything and everything about the ps3. at this point i'm not a gamespot member and i was getting my information daily from ps3land or ps3portal.com. both reccommended by a friend of mine. i guess you could say i didnt care much about other consoles at this point, thought xbox 360 was ok and thought the revolution was a joke and a half, so i stuck with the ps3 cuz i remember hearing about it's amazing power and graphical possibilities. a 360 launch happened at this time and my friend ended up with one for his bday in january, all i can remember was watching him play call of duty 2 on his sdtv and all i could think about was the ps3 and how amazing it will be (expecting killzone footage as shown in e3 05) so you could say at this point in my life i was a real sony fanboy and would back the ps3 no matter what. this is me getting a little more knowledgable about video games. spring of 2006 i get a job at Prairie Woods Gof Course in wisconsin. i love golf so working there was a dream, the first few paychecks i made there were quickly spent on $200 worth of fireworks and another $200 on a paintball gun, stupid financial decisions but i'll learn some day how to manage money. after 3 months of wasting my money on junk, i decided to make a ps3 fund for myself, this happens in june or so just around the same time i started being active on gamespot. i guess my profile sais i've been a gamespot member since april but i honestly do not remember ever signing in. i guess i found my way to gamespot since ps3portal hasnt posted any new ps3 updates in a few weeks and i was hungry for information. so somehow in my mad hunt for websites with ps3 information i found gamespot. thinking what the heck i decided to look into the forums area of the site and read what other people thought about the system. After 2 weeks of that i said what the heck, i'll join this site and maybe i too can post in the forums like these guys here. 8970 posts later here i am in a great union surrounded by a whole community of gamespot. quick rewind
getting slowly involved in gamespot i get more and more eager to day the playstation 3 launches, i'm tired of typing so to make a long story shorter than it could be, i'll just say that i wind up with a ps3, lost title of corpural noob of games, got a drivers license, and am having a great life.
